Liam POV
“Liam,” a breathy tone called. I opened my eyes and turned to Kelsey beside me on the bed.
As I did, Kelsey’s hand grasped my forearm, her fingers icy cold.
“K-Kelsey?” I groaned in my sleepy tone, a smile on my face as I tried to get rid of the hazy feeling of reconsciousness. My eyes trying to focus on my love a bit more.
Kelsey’s blue eyes had no shine in them, her undereyes were darkened. As I quickly scanned, her skin pale as snow, her lips a light purple.
“Help,” she whispered, her grasp on my hand weakening.
“Kelsey!” I yelled in realization, a painful moan escaped her shivering lips.
I jumped up onto my knees on the bed frantically, snapping off all the covers off of my half naked body, holding on to her for my life.
“K-Kelsey! What’s wrong. Tell me what’s wrong, my love,” I begged in terror as I scanned her shivering naked body in front of me.
Her stone-cold fingers glazed my warm skin, her breaths dragged as she began to yell, her eyes intense on mine.
My eyes watered into tears as I watched horror-struck.
“Kelsey!” I tried to find the source of pain, I held her close to me, her cold temperature making my hairs rise on my arms.
“Help! Somebody help!” I looked around her room frantically, my breaths harshening as my heart pumped with adrenaline as I got up to find help.
Kelsey held me back, her freezing hand tight on my arm.
“No, Liam.” she cried. I looked back at her, my grimace the only real thing I could do. My heart sinking in my chest, the cold and hollow feeling filling up.
“Kelsey, I love you. I love you, Kelsey.” I shook my head in disbelief as her eyes lost it’s focused, her lips parting as she watched me blankly.
I held her against my chest, wanting to run out and find help, but the shock made me stay there, stupidly, mindlessly.
“Liam…” she forced a breath, her lips only deepening in an abnormal color, her veins against her arm bubbling up onto her skin as she felt my for hands.
“Don’t leave me, Kelsey. Kelsey, just don’t,” I moaned in agony as I watched the love of my life die in front of me.
“Liam…” she repeated in a bit of question.
“Kelsey, don’t… Kelsey,” I violently cried, tightening my hold on her as her aqua eyes began to fade into the distance.
“Liam.” her tone became raspy as I continued to cry. She then went still, and limb beneath me.
“Kelsey?!” I huffed in shock.. Nothing, nothing but silence.
She’s.. She’s gone...
“Liam!” her tone grew concerned, before I rose an eyebrow. Watching the lifeless body in my arms calling my name, not a twitch of her lips.
“Liam, wake up,” Kelsey’s tone grew louder in my ear, her tone frantic.
I opened my eyes again, to find myself beside Kelsey, her skin a softer normal looking color than that I had just seen.
“Liam, are you okay?” she send her hands over the covers, touching my face, her fingers warm on my cheek that felt wet. Was I crying?
Her eyes looked swollen still, but the blue shimmered with life.
“Kelsey?” I replied in a raspy voice. The abrupt realization that it was just a dream made my heart flutter in relief, and I let out a gasp of fear.
“Liam, it’s three in the morning, and you’re freezing. Cover yourself up. Are you okay?” her eyes flickering as she covered me up with the warm blanket.
She looked back at me concerned, her eyebrow raised.
“Kelsey, I love you so much,” my voice cracked as I pulled our naked bodies closer together, wrapping my arms tightly around her as I sent desperate kisses to her face.
“I love you so much, Kels. Never leave me, please,” I blurted in a frantic vulnerable tone.
“Liam.. Liam, it’s okay,” I heard her tone change in realization.
She wrapped her hands around me in comfort, kissing my lips softly as she let me hold her close, my tears falling quickly.
“It’s okay, Liam. I’m here,” she continued to murmur as I kissed every part of her face.
“I never want to lose you,” I murmured in pain, pouring out my heart to her. Her aqua eyes watered at my words, her grimace twitching into a comforting smile.
“Y-You won’t,” she forced out, kissing me passionately again.
“I love you, Liam,” she replied as we cried softly. Our whimpers slowly disappearing as she continued to kiss me.
As she loved me.
As she distracted me from the pain.
