Liam POV
I held her in my arms, tightly. Nothing was more comforting than hearing her breath slowly and soothingly beside my chest where her head lay... even if it was with the help of her oxygen tank.
She was here with me, that's all that counts.
"Liam do you want-" I sent my fingers to my lips, and Niall shut his mouth. Mouthing a sorry as he looked down at Kelsey snuggled up ontop of me on the chair.
Mr.Diamonds looked at me, his eyes scanning me cautiously...yet, approvingly.
"Liam, you've been in that tense position all throughout the plane ride...you should get some sleep, I can take her from here," he offered as he stood.
I pursed my lips and forced a smile, shaking my head lightly.
"Its fine, sir.," was all I could say... I didn't want to tell him how desperately I wanted her this close.. to reassure me she was okay in my arms, thats all I needed.
"Hey, this plane has a backroom with a bed if you want to head back there," Niall yelled, before Essie shushed him with a slap on the arm. He apologized again.
" It's comfortable," Niall whispered.
I thought about it for a second, before I looked at Mr.Diamonds...I don't want to just take Kels wherever I please... I am with her parents, too.
"May I, Mr.Diamonds?" I asked like a child...and his blue eyes squinted in a smile, before sending his gaze to the squirming Kelsey that I frantically huddled closer to. She was so fragile.
"That's fine. It'll help you get some comfortablr rest, Liam," he nodded, before taking a seat and turning back to the book in his hand.
I nodded, before I slowly slid my hands around Kelsey, and stood up.
My back crackled at the moment...and I let out a sigh.. That felt better.
As I carefully tried to grab the handle to her small oxygen thing, another pair of hands helped with the struggle.
"Thanks, Essie," I breathed.
I was still kinda' in shock when Niall told me she was pregnant...and a flashback came to the time Louis and Zayn bet who'd get knocked up first during a lunch observation in high school...and Louis voted for Niall and Essie..
Guess Louis' going to want those ten euro now.
She followed me into the room, setting the tank down as I put Kelsey on the bed.
She jumped as I tried to set her down quickly, to stop her from feeling any more squirming.
As she took a sigh, I cursed under my breath. I woke her.
I touched her arm, that felt a little cold, so I turned to the cabinets, getting out a blanket.
"Li-Liam?" she groaned, her eyes half open.
"He's right here," Essie murmured softly, before I turned around.
She breathed deeply again, as her hand outreached for mine, and I took it, lying against the bed now to get closer to her.
I covered her with the blanket.
"I'm here," I breathed, my heart hurting to see her so weak.
"I'm hungry," she grumbled as she began to pet my head, her eyes closed now.The pain in my chest stopped..and a smile appeared on my lips.
I chuckled.
Throughout everything, I'm so glad she hasn't changed much mentally.
"You got it?" I looked up to find Essie smirking, and I nodded, Essie walking out and closing the door behind her.
