《Liam POV》
I'm too late.
I'm too late.
"Essie." I called one last time for no real reason anymore. My heart was gone already.
She turned to me, Daniel's arms tensing around hers when he saw me. I then watched Mr. and Mrs. Diamonds come out the door, and I couldn't help but look down at the floor in agony.
"No!" Mrs.Diamonds called, and I looked back up to find Daniel's glare intense on mine, his movements jagged as he speeded towards me.
I took a step back, before Niall ran in front of me, and Mr.Diamonds ran towards me. Both of them frantically grabbing onto Daniel's arms and restraining him from moving forward. Niall scooted onto his shoulder, and Daniel didn't even notice, because he just kept trying to push forward towards me.
"You fucking douchbag! It's all your fault! I'm going to fucking kill you!" He yelled...and I gulped. His words hitting me straight to the core.
"Daniel, calm down! Stop!" Mr.Diamond's voice was not as strong as it should have been, but it made Daniel stop squirming from their hold, and look up at his dad.
"He left her for dead, Dad. He fucking left her for dead," Daniel's anger was swallowed by sadness within seconds... and it was like I was being shot countless times..
I shook my head, my grimace and frown just so deep in agony as I took a step forward.
"Daniel.. No.. I'm sorry," I cried, and he just turned to glare at me, trying once again to attack me.
Then, several security guards came from nowhere, along with a few nurses.
"Sir, we're going to ask you to leave the hospital... several patients have complained for stress on violence," Mr.and Mrs.Payne looked shocked as Daniel gulped, and agreed respectably.
"We'll be right back," Mr.Diamonds looked at Essie who stood shocked at the front door of the room.. and I opened my mouth to apologize as they walked by.. but they kept their gazes intense on Daniel.
He gave me one last menacing look, before it turned to regret, and he ripped his neck down to the floor, following the guards besides him.
I looked up at Mr.Diamonds, his blue eyes sent me a reassuring glare, his eyes red... wet before he finished with a sigh and looked back at his angered son.
I looked back at Niall who stood there, his back to me, and I followed his gaze to Essie, who just watched the them walk out.
"E-Essie," both Niall and I murmured. We then turned to look at each other at the same moment, before Niall awkwardly looked at them leave, the doors closing behind them.
A sudden beeping from the door behind Essie made my heart jumped, and I raced to her side. She defensively covered the door.
"Liam, no! Go home!" Essie yelled darkly, pushing me away.
"Essie, just let him-" Niall had came to my side and defend, before Essie sent her hand to his cheek, his pale skin reddening in the shape of her hand.
We all froze for a second, before Niall looked at me, and Essie looked between us.
"We've been waiting... waiting," she cried... and I guess that cracked her, because then Niall wrapped her around her, and tugged her away from the door. With his lips pursed, he turned to set his dark eyes on me, and I nodded...
before walking into the room, where the room monitor continued to beep.
And nearly felt darkness overcome me as I neared fainting... at the sight of what I was in front of me.
At the sight of her.
