LIAM POV
"Are you ready for this? Because I'm not ready for this." Kelsey panicked as we parked in my driveway, the kitchen lights on from the front yard. I sighed, turning to give her a warm smile a I turned the engine off.
"It'll be fine, love," I tried to comfort her, leaning in for a kiss...
"We'll see about that," Mrs.Diamonds suddenly blurted, making me freeze an inch from Kelsey's lips. Kelsey let out a sigh, a bit annoyed her her mother's presence, I could tell.
I had totally forgot she was in the backseat for a second... Maybe that's why she wanted to sit in the back, so she can watch us more closely...
"C'mon then," I smiled as I took of my seat belt and headed out, opening Mrs.Diamonds door while I was at it.
"Thank you," she muttered. I nodded... She'll get over it eventually... hopefully.
I went around the car and Kelsey was already closing her door. I frowned a bit, but then she outreached for my hand and intertwined our fingers... And I couldn't help but sigh in content... until I looked at Mrs.Diamonds waiting at the front door.
Take a breath. I'm ready for this.
I stood there and looked at Kelsey as I unlocked my eyes, but before I could get the key in, the door opened abruptly, and what happen next was not what I had expected.
"Kelsey!!" my mum exclaimed, grabbing Kelsey from my side and holding her in a tight hug. My mom's smile was huge, it almost looked like she was going to cry..
"Diane!" she looked to find Mrs.Diamonds, and she quickly stepped to embrace them in a hug. My father waited at the door, a smile on his face as he quickly and softly gave Kelsey a hug and peck on the cheek, like if she was family.
"C'mon in. Just in time, Dinner's ready," my dad laughed. "We've got lots to catch up on," he winked at me, patting my in approval as my mum walked in with Kelsey's mum.
I gulped at his words, as I took a gaze at Kelsey, who awkwardly stared at her mother, a grin on her expression, her face flustered and surprised.

We all sat around the table, my sisters couldn't stop staring at Kelsey, their expressions in awe. After half an hour of pure intense intimidation, we all had finished eating and just remained at the table, chatting.
"You look really good, Kelsey!" Ruth complimented as I scooted closer, watching Mrs.Diamonds talk it off with my mum, obviously not saying much...
"Thank you, you guys stayed as beautiful as ever." Kelsey replied back shyly. They all laughed, and I couldn't help but smile at how cute she seemed right now.
Then things became tense.
"So, Liam. Kelsey, don't you guys want to tell the Payne family what we figured out last week?" Mrs.Diamonds voice was like ice. Kelsey threw her mom a dark glare, and for a moment, Mrs.Diamonds seemed to regret her words... Maybe she was going a little too far now.
"What is it?" they all quieted down as I cleared my throat, a little nervous.. I looked down at Kelsey, her cheeks reddening as her blue eyes squinted in a smile, her hand in mine as she squeezed it nervously. She glanced at me before sighing, giving an angry twitch towards her mother.
"Well, I'll just come and say it that Liam and I-" I couldn't help but realize how more embarrassing it was, and how much this can ruin the good reputation of us both..So, I cut her off.
"-can't seem to find a reason as to why we're ever going to be apart again... because-" I smiled nervously...Kelsey sent me a look of confusion as she closed her mouth, turning to listen to me.
"Well, because Kelsey was my Kidney Donor all this time," I blurted, the whole atmosphere freezing in bewilderment. Was this a good idea? I don't know.. I-
It was then that the table went into chaos.
