Liam POV
"So, has she said yes yet?" Harry leaned against the granite counter, taking a drink of his beer.
I sighed, faking a chuckle
as I drank my sparkling water, it hurt for Kelsey to see me drink still, so I don't.
I looked out from the kitchen counter at the view of our families together. My parents talking to her parents, my cousin's talking to Kelseys cousins, and even my sisters laughing with Kelsey and Essie.
She looked extremely happy, yet after 78 times and counting these last 4 months... she still hasn't said yes.
I shook my head, leaning against the wall opposite of him.
Harry rose his eyebrow and kept a balance expression.
"Pretty sure youre not being romantic enough when you say it," he bubbled.
I let my gaze fall on him again.
And gave him a look of 'yeah right'.
Harry chuckled, shaking his head in disbelief as he sent his hand to his voluminous hair. Thing looks like a mop.
"Liam, what was the most romantic way you've asked Kels, then? Tell me. " he said cockily..
I coughed a laugh and arrogantly lifted my chest, staring back at Kels who was now giving the crowd an odd little dance.
I smiled.
"Well, remember that weekend i flew back over here to make sure Kels got home saftely?"
He nodded, his face seeming to anticipate my answer without much of a surprise.
"Well, I covered her eyes and brought her here..and after I showed her the house she hugged me and started crying..." I sighed as I remember how happy she was..
I could feel the smile on my face as I thought.
"I then asked her to marry me," I looked at Harry, who stood with the same unamused gaze, before taking another drink of his alcohol.
"Just like that, lad?" he asked blankly.
I nodded, taking a drink of my sparkling water.
"And what'd she say?," he asked.
I looked at him.. raising an eyebrow.
Has he not thought about the fact that it was in the past...and should already know the answer. I opened my mouth to say something, but closed it once I realized...
This is Harry Styles I'm talking to.
"She said no," I held back a laugh as I took another drink. He didn't seem to notice the teasing in my tone..and I kinda didn't expect him to.
"See, you're not being romantic enough, " he pointed at me.
I opened my hands in question.
" I bought her a house! If that doesnt say i love her.. then.. ermm. well, now that i think about it..it's not as romantic as I thought," I laughed in a bit of frustration
"You gotta be more romantic," he finished...
I looked up at Harry, his stupid 'I told you so' smirk.
"What do you know about proposing, Harry? You don't even ask, you just do," I teased at my pun.
Harry didnt seem to grasp it yet..so that kinda ruined the joke.
Took him a few seconds to finally get iy and as he opened his mouth to reply Kelsey began walking our way.
A bottle of alcohol in her hand.
