It is called Fangirlism. It is common in 11-16-year-old girls.
(I was a MAJOR Fangirl of Pokemon and THG when I was eleven like OMFG for some reason Thratniss (Thresh x Katniss) was my THG otp and for pokemon it was Snikachu, or Snivy and Pikachu like GAKSJSMAJMAISNKAHDKANAJKAXHJX)
