jooheon | chocolate kiss

'I'll meet you there, okay?'

Your boyfriend had said. But now you waited outside your apartment, bundled up in a coat with its fur lined hood grazing your cold face.

He was 10 minutes late and just a few minutes ago, it had started to snow. Not your gentle flurry but a down pour to where it was almost impossible to see two feet in front of you.

Sighing, you pulled your hood over your head farther and squatted down against the fence of the building, tucking your knees against your chest.

"Ahh, so cold! Jooheonnie, where are you?" You pouted and watched your breath come out in a puff as it hit the blistering air.

You sat there and remembered the first time you and him had been on a date.

He took you to that new bookstore downtown because you had nagged him about wanting to look at it and see the books.

He had teased you and asked why you would even want to go there of all places. Regardless, he showed up the next day to take you anyway.

You smiled. He's so sweet but where was he now? You then began to worry about his whereabouts before you heard a faint voice cursing down the street.

"Look what you did Jooheon! You messed up big time now. She's probably really mad.. I made her wait and now it's snowing like hell! Aish!"

You listened and couldn't help yourself but laugh at his childness. He rarely spoke to him self and you always found it cute in some way when he did.

You finally saw him approach, his big coat and beanie vibrantly dark against the pure white snow. He carried an umbrella to shield himself from the down pour.

You stood as he got closer, still talking to himself. He soon realized that you were there and rushed over to you, nearly slipping.

"H-hey! I-I can explain! Please don't be mad!" He shifted the umbrella so it was over your head.

"No, no! I'm not, I was just worried." You hugged him tightly.

He wrapped his arm around you, and laid his head on top of yours.

"Y/N. I have a surprise for you, for making you wait so long."

You pulled back but he still had his arm around you.

"Really? What is it?" You asked excitedly.

He grinned and moved his arm so he coukd link his hand with yours.

"Let me show you."

He started to walk down the sidewalk as you both talked and laughed.

You soon came to a small building that read, 'Flower Café.' and he held the colorful door open for you.

You walked and immediately sniffed the chocolate aroma. You giggled and chose a window seat, glancing up at your boyfriend who grinned when he sat down.

The waitress came and dropped menus in front of us. She smiled warmly and offer us a special but we declined.

Jooheon took his coat off before getting up and helping you with yours as well. He hung them on the back of his chair.

"So.." He started to say,"You can get anything you like, it's on me." He reached over and touched your still cold hand on your menu.

"Thank you Jooheonnie!" You smiled brightly, intertwining your fingers with his.

You looked over your menu and decided you would get a peppermint hot chocolate. It sounded delicious and it wasn't expensive so you thought it was reasonable for Jooheon.

Jooheon settled on a french vanilla cappuccino, which he makes for you sometimes when you visit him at the dorm he stays in with the other Monsta x members.

The waitress came back and took our orders and quickly rang them in.

You looked around and noticed that they wasn't really that many people.

There was another couple, in the back of the shop, handing hands and giggling to each other.

'They must be a new couple.'

You thought and watched them a little before looking back to Jooheon.

His hand was on his cheek, holding his head up but where he was looking made you jump.

He was staring right at you. The sunlight had finally peeked through the clouds and a faint glow shined onto his red hair, and his dark eyes brightened.

"W-what?" You stuttered, embarrassed, and pushed some of your hair behind your ear.

"Your beautiful, you know that?" He replied, his voice low.

You felt your face heat up and you knew you were blushing. You threw up your hands to block his view.

"A-ani."

The waitress arrived with your drinks before him could say anything. She set the coffee and hot chocolate on the table and bowed before leaving again.

You quickly held the warm, steaming mug and brought it up to your face to smell it's sweet mint aroma. You gently blew on the top of it, taking a glance at your boyfriend.

He had sat back against his chair, the cup of coffee held against his chin but he still had his eyes on you. He soon grinned at you.

"You didn't want anything to eat?"

You shook your head slightly, taking taking a sip from the mug and setting it back dwn on the table and moved closer into the table.

"Ani, I just wanted some hot chocolate. I don't want you to pay for much either."

He chuckled and moved in closer till your faces were inches apart.

"Don't worry about it, Y/N. I would pay for anything for you. As long as it makes you happy."

You smiled and placed a soft kiss upon his lips, you could taste his cappuccino. Warm and chocolaty.

He caressed your cheek, his lips smiled against yours.

Soon you pulled away, your face flushed as you realized it was you who engaged the kiss. You grabbed the mug again and brought up to take a drink to hide your embarrassment.

Jooheon smirked, he sat back in his seat again and closed his eyes.

"Amazing."
