shownu | oppa, i can't sleep

You tossed and turned in your bed, kicking away the covers. The pillows were on the floor where you had thrown them in frustration, your restlessness taking over. You tried with all you had to fall asleep but it you just couldn't seem to.

You looked over at the clock on your night stand. It was already 2 in morning and sleep still didn't act like it was coming. You took your cellphone that was beside the clock and called a certain someone.

The ringing of the other line stopped and was replaced with a very tired masculine voice.

"Hello...?"

"Oppa!"

"Y/N..why are you calling me so late.."

"I can't sleep..oppa please."

"Please what?"

"Will you sing for me?"

"Sing for you? It's 2 in morning, jagi!

There was a pause before Shownu's voice was heard again.

"I suppose, since it's you."

"Really?! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

Then you stopped your excitement when you heard him rustling around and a door close.

"Yah, oppa?"

"Hm?"

"What are you doing?"

"Oh..just um, getting some water. My throat is a little dry."

"Mian hae! You don't have to sing then.."

Shownu chuckled,"What? No way, you asked me, so I'm going to."

"Don't hurt yourself, oppa."

"I won't, jagiya. Don't worry."

You heard more rustling and noises and then another door closed.

"Alright, I'm ready now, are you ready?"

"Ne!"

There was a deep breath on the other line and you heard Shownu clear his throat.

"Your my man, oppa." You said and you heard him chuckle again.

"Let's walk on this street, everyone will be jealous.

You closed your eyes, hearing his soothingly soft voice your ear. It was like a dream within its self. Just you and his voice in the room.

A long pause after his words ended. You waited, thinking he might be drinking water or something.

You bolted upright as you heard his words through the phone and in the room. You looked at him as he smiled.

"Mian hae, did I scare you?" He held up the keys and jingled them alittle,"I have a key remember."

You put a hand to your chest and breathed out,"I almost had a heart attack.." You hung up the phone and set it beside you as Shownu set his on the night stand and then slid under the covers with you.

"Your voice was lovely, oppa."

"I could tell, I saw you with your eyes closed. I thought for a minute you had fallen asleep but I guess not." He laughed as he turned on his side and reached out.

His warm hand grazed your cheek gently and pushed your hair back and behind your ear.

"I could of fell asleep, that's how beautiful that song was." You scooted closer to him, his warmth pulling you in.

"Is this better then what you wanted?"

"Sometimes I asked myself if I'm crazy, but I'm just in love. With you. And everything you do."

"..you ask yourself that?" He stared at you intensely,"I..I do too. I wrote that song awhile back when we met."

"Y-you did? Oh oppa." You cuddled deeper into his warm chest, he head placed onto if your head. His hands tightly around you, stroking your back, your hair and cheek. His voice spoke into your ear, singing the song once again.

There was a slight distance between the both of you, but it never stays that way for long. There's always a reason why you both can't seem to stay away. Love. That was all.
