The Cat/Manga clubroom was warm today, as if fall had ignored the looming presence of winter. Halloween was done with so every student's mind was thinking of one thing-exams.

"Ne, _, how is studying going?" Feliciano asked, drawing a picture of a gray cat.

"It really depends on the subject."

You were studying History-a major bore. Kiku flipped back and forth between studying and his manga. Once his finished a portion of his work he'd reward himself with a new chapter. Your mind wandered back to the day Al helped with your History while you highlighted answers in his English book, the two of you surrounded by fast food wrappers.

Knock! Knock!

A heavy hand banged on the door making you jump. It opened to reveal a blond man in a red tracksuit.

"Ludwig!" Feliciano sang, handing the tall German his cat drawing.

"For me?"

"Of course! I thought of what you would look like as a kitty cat and came up with this! Do you like it?"

Ludwig blushed soft, "It is very...feline."

"I think it's cute." You offered, moments later realizing it was you who had spoke.

"Studying?"

"Yes, sadly." You shifted in your seat.

Because of what happened you were still uncomfortable around Ludwig. To make matters worse he doesn't seem to remember. However you decided not to blame him; you hoped you could be friends one day.

"Oh by zhe vay Alfred vas looking for you."

"Really? Did he say what for?"

He shook his head.

_-Ludwig said you wanted something ?

You decided to text him rather than search the entire grounds.

AL-My day is just fine, thanks for asking.

You rolled your eyes.

AL-I thought we could study!

_-I'm already studying with Kiku and Feliciano.

AL-Really? I'll be there in a sec!

You sighed, _-It wasn't an invitation BAKA-

You didn't even have time to send the text as an exasperated Alfred burst through the door, his papers scattering to the ground like newly shed leaves.

"Sup dudes!!"

The Hero plopped his belongings down onto the table, slouching back in a chair.

"I ran all the way here from practice."

You wanted to ask why he'd do something as stupid as that but didn't.

"How was practice?"

"Hm? Oh it was fine. Only one game left of the season and Coach wants to end it on a good note. What are you working on?" He peered over, Kiku at your notebook.

"History."

"Cats!" Feliciano chimed in, holding up a drawing of a black one. It somewhat looked like Kiku.

"Haha! Awesome dude! Hey _ I bet you'd look cute as a kitty-cat!"

"As opposed to now?"

"No! What I meant was-how"

You laughed, cutting him off, "I'm just messing with you Al, calm down."

His face flushed red, mumbling under his breath.

"You two seem to be quite zhe friends."

"He's one of the first people I met when I came to Precision Academy. I don't think I could have survived with out him." You hadn't realized you were grinning as you spoke, Al's face still red.

"Friends are good to have." Ludwig smiled, his cat drawing tucked away inside his track sweater.

After awhile you all found your groove, going over questions and helping each other out. Ludwig made Feliciano study much to his disappointment who wanted to keep drawing. You sat by the wall, Kiku to your right, Al next to him. Al's chair was pressed up against Kiku's, leaning over him to talk to you. As uncomfortable as Kiku looked he didn't offer switching seats..

"Hey _ what'd ya get for question number three?"

"I think it's 'qualms' though I'm not entirely sure. What did you get for number seventeen, History?"

That's how most of the day went. Asking questions, giving unsure answers. Over time little Kiku scooted closer to you (he'd rather be closer to you than a rowdy boy) but Al did too defeating the purpose. Feliciano doodled cat faces whenever Ludwig wasn't looking. You covered up your giggle, smiling.

"*yawn* I think I'm going to call it a day guys."

"Already?" Al seemed disappointed. Did he really need that much help?

"Ja, it's nearly curfew." Ludwig poked the Italian's shoulder waking him from a nap.

You all gathered your belongings heading out into the chilly autumn air.

"Brr! It's much cooler than in the clubroom."

"Yep!" Feliciano waved, suddenly chipper, "It's always warm in there-even in summer."

You realized you were the only freshmen among them. What would you do when they left? You shook your head not wanting to think about it.

"Bye guys." You casually waved heading towards the dorm as they turned, going towards theirs.

When you reached the room Eliza smiled as you entered, dropping your books to the floor.

"How was studying?"

"Eh, it was alright." You flung off your shoes, plopping down onto the bed.

"By the way. You received a letter."

"A letter?"

"Summons from the Headmaster."

Your heart beat faster, "Really, when?"

"A few days from now."

"Oh...did he say why?"

"No." She hugged a pillow, her long hair laying around her shoulders, "Though I bet it's about...you know."

She didn't like saying the word "attacks". It's almost as if she wanted to negate the presence of vampires altogether. If she had it her way she'd kick them all out for you. You smiled.

"Thanks, Eliza."

Her eyes widened, a soft blush creeping across her cheeks, "W-why?"

"You're a good friend."

She smiled slightly, turning off the light.
