You shifted in your seat, body filled with electric excitement. You watched as your other classmates filed inside the room, taking their seats.

This is so exciting!

Your first lesson in vampire ethics. You wondered what topics you would tackle first. There were still a good five minutes before class officially started, not even the professor had arrived yet. You took your pencil case and rearranged them by colors and type on your desk, quickly shoving them inside as the professor waltzed into the room.

The teacher placed a stack of paper on the desk, nervously touching his rich brown hair, brushing aside a curl that refused to lie down.

The man cleared his throat, "Hello, students. Welcome to your Ethics class." He handed a stack of papers to each row, "What I'm handing out is the class syllabus; inside will show what we will cover throughout the term."

You thumbed through the packet, taking in as much as you could.

"I will be teaching the first half, ah, you may call me Mr. Julius Vargas. For the second half of the term will be my colleague, Mr. Aldrich Weillschmidt."

Hm, those names sound familiar...I just can't place it...

For an older man he certainly is handsome...

Oh _! Now isn't the time for this!

"First order of the day is delving right into our new material. We will first consider vampire myths. As most of you know, religious items do not have any affect on us despite what humans believe. Many humans have taken superstitions, such as wooden stakes, garlic and the like to be true, but as you all know, that is a lie."

He turned his back on the class, writing on the whiteboard in black marker.

"On a similar topic let's consider some 'taboos'. Do any of you know of one?"

His brown eyes scanned the class until a timid hand rose.

"Feeding on another vampire?" A student offered.

"Correct! Drinking another's blood is a form of intimacy, equal to sex at least in meaning."

You could feel yourself turn a bright red, heat radiating off your face.

Then...that time?

Images of drinking Arthur's blood flashed, him holding on to a wall for support, eventually collapsing.

"Miss? Miss."

"Huh?!"

"...Are you all right? You look a bit feverish."

"Ah, no. I'm fine! Just got a bit hot." You fanned yourself with your hand, growing even redder.

"Okay. If you need to see the nurse go right ahead."

Your mind raced back to what he said.

So...Alfred? Ludwig? Roderich? Gilbert?!

"HOWEVER, it isn't the same if it involves the one that turned you. Seeing how most of you are not pure-bloods, when drinking of the one that turned you and vice versa it creates more of a familial bond than a romantic one."

You sighed, melting in your chair out of relief, though you were still uncomfortable about the rest.

He sure didn't waste his time getting into the heavy stuff, did he?

"The one who turned you is much like a parent as they must guide you in your new life. Over all we vampires have a loose sense of family and there is normally an absence of the dynamic."
