 Knock! Knock!

The heavy wooden door slowly opened, revealing an older man seated at a long desk.

"Ah, I was waiting for you." The man spoke, slipping his glasses off.

"Headmaster."

The man in charge gestured towards a chair in front of him, waiting for the other to be seated.

"I'm glad you agreed to meeting with me today."

"We are discussing (y/n) after all."

The Headmaster smiled slightly, "Indeed. Before we begin I trust that the words spoken today will not leave this room."

"Of course."

"Good." He shuffled through some papers on his desk. His face grew serious, "I could easily expel you for your brazen actions against the Academy yet I wouldn't feel right about that. Besides, it seems our goal is the same."

"Excuse me?"

"You are aware of her unique situation."

"Yes."

"Then you know that her situation is a delicate one. One that needn't be publicized."

"What exactly is it that you need me for?"

"You have interacted with Miss _ on several occasions, no? You also are aware of certain...events, that have unfolded."

"Events? Oh...those. Still, I don't get"-

"Think back to all those brutes who attacked her."

"...I was one of those brutes."

"What you did was within reason. They, however, acted on animal instincts. Need I mention the last attack with Mr. Beilschmidt?"

He tensed.

"What do you want from me?"

"What I want is best for Miss _. Doesn't she deserve true happiness? She may look fine, but every day is plagued by memories from the past."

The younger man wore a perplexed, slightly sad expression, "I can't do anything for her..."

"That's where you're wrong."

"No! I refuse"-

"Hear me out. We both want what is right for her. Don't we owe her peace of mind?"

"...Then what? What becomes of her then?"

"Nothing. She will have to transfer to a different school, I'm afraid."

"!"

"Unless, you use your powers you inherited at birth."

"...I couldn't do such a thing..."

"Why not? Think of it as being her guardian. You're protecting her."

"No, I mean I CAN'T...What if she doesn't want any of this?"

"Firstly, I could help you learn to master your powers." He sighed, "Boy, do you really believe she'd tell anyone what she truly wants? She no doubt sees it as a betrayal of friendship. We know better."

"Why are you so concerned for her?...You're afraid of your secret getting out, aren't you? Why? She hasn't told before"-

"She hasn't been broken before. She is a strong woman, I'll give her that. But every person has a breaking point. And when she snaps, alone and afraid, I think the last thing on her mind will be keeping this place a secret."

"I really think that's doubtful."

"She believes there are other human students here. What will she do when she finds out she's the only one?"

The student bit his lip.

The Headmaster sighed. "This must be confusing for you, seeing how you're one of her friends. But as her friend don't you see it as a protection? Or would you rather see her broken?"

"Of course not. I just..."

"I'll give you some time to think it over. In all honesty she shouldn't even be here. However she is dear to many people who would question her sudden disappearance. She has too many connections to simply be removed. That is why using your powers is necessary. I want what is best for _ but as well as the rest of the student body. Having our precious secret out is not something I can accept."

"I understand. I'll think about it."

"You are a very smart lad. However, to help you make your mind I'll lay everything out on the table. Either you use your powers, or I will."
