"She's waking up ma'am."
"Good. Bring her around."
"Yes ma'am."
You felt a strange sensation in your right arm, your head rolling to one side.
"I see you're awake, Miss _."
Your eyes snapped open, revealing an older woman sitting across from you. She wore a tight smile, gray hair tucked into a bun. Your head was heavy, facing your right arm. You shot up at the sight of tubing burrowed deep inside your forearm, extracting the deep red liquid. You reached over to tear it out but didn't have the strength.
"What are you doing?!"
The old woman nodded, a man walking over, taking out the coiling tube.
"Sorry for that dear. We needed to make sure you were what the rumors claimed."
"Who...are you?"
"My name isn't important. I do understand how confusing this all seems. So allow me to explain. You are quite the interesting young lady, aren't you?" She smiled, easing back into the tan airplane chair, "This is your second year at Precision Academy, isn't it."
"What are you getting at?"
She ignored your question, "You've lived quite the active life there, from what I've heard. I'm also aware you are no longer human."
You swallowed at her straight-forward words.
"You seem quite pale, dear. I'm surprised your so-called friends didn't suck you dry."
"How dare you!"
She chuckled, "I see you're still quite fond of your classmates. No matter. After all, they don't have anything to do with you now."
What does that mean?
"You better start making sense. Where are you taking me, who are you?!"
"As I said earlier my name isn't important. I will tell you that I've been alive longer than you can imagine."
"So you're an Old Generation vampire?"
"So they're teaching you at that place after all." She smiled for a brief moment, it quickly fading.
"This new generation is completely irresponsible. They don't care about our species numbers or about the rules."
"You're upset that they aren't following tradition?"
"Upset isn't exactly the word I would've chose. However..." she turned, reaching into a bag at her feet, "with THIS everything is solved."
She held up a vial of blood triumphantly.
"You"-!
"It's nothing personal dear. I needed something you obtained."
"Where are you taking me?!" You demanded, anger rising.
"None of that concerns you. However you're more useful to us than just the Water of Life."
"How so?"
"A peace treaty. After you've been nearly drained I'll offer you as a present of peace to those Hunters. The only reason they've started attacking recently was because of you, after all. This way the Hunters Society will lie dormant once again. It truly is your saving grace."
"What will they do with me?"
"Who's to say, really. You're a threat to their cause, I don't believe they'll take this lightly."
