Leaves covered the ground in a blanket of warm colors, the lower branches of trees becoming bare. Nearly a month had passed, hallway busy as you ambled towards the cafeteria.

You found a spot in the back corner, a place where you could eat in relative solitude. There hasn't been any news since the meeting a month ago, everyone seemingly working on their own. Your mind wandered to Arthur. He has been scare lately, only talking through phone calls or texts. You reasoned he had been busy lately, everyone was. However that didn't mean you hadn't missed his company.

"Hey, c'mon Yao." A voice from the nearby table spoke.

"No! You an ass."

"Yao, you're getting up anyway just grab me one, k?"

He sighed, "I'm tired of getting ordered around all damn time."

"Thank you"~

The short man 'Yao' stood up, heading across the room. You turned your attention back to the situation at hand.

Hey, free to talk?- _ Your fingers typed on the keypad.

Umm, I suppose I have a few minutes. What's up?-Arthur

I was wondering how the search was going. Have you found anything?

Ah, no, not yet. I'll keep looking though.-Arthur

I see. I will too.

You don't have to. You should focus on your lessons, _.-Arthur

You frowned.

Why can't I help?

Upset you just typed back a quick response: Okay.

He never replied back. Standing, you threw the rest of your food in the trash, prepared to spend the rest of the day in a bad mood.

RING, RING!

"Ah!" You fished your phone out of the pocket, "Hello, Arthur?"

"How dare you insult me like that."

"Francis?"

"Who else would be calling you?"

"Well..."

"Nevermind. Meet me at the gate in twenty minutes, wear something nice."

"Wai"-!

He hung up. Despite the caution in your gut (Francis telling you to dress up, Francis the flirt) you walked to the gate, wobbling in the heels.

"Tch, I should've known." You scanned the area, all alone.

"I'm disappointed by your lack of faith, mon cheri."

"Ah!" You spun around, Francis wearing a smug smile, wavy hair lying on his shoulders.

"Aw, I thought I told you to wear something nice."

"This isn't nice?"

You wore a pair of dark jeans, black heels and a fitting (color) top underneath your sweater.

"Mm, I was hoping for something a little more revealing."

"In this weather? It's fall already, Francis. Besides, you aren't exactly dressed for a party either."

He put a hand to his chest in offense, "These slacks cost more than your tuition, _. This top was imported from"-

"Nevermind, you look beautiful. Mind telling me why I'm dressed up this late?"
