Yes, guys, it's finally happening. Enjoy and let me know what you think! Also, sorry it's a short chapter but I think it works perfectly as it is.

*Warning* Her mother is her mother but it is considered very light compared to what she has done, light enough where I considered not even putting up a little warning for you.

**| Sang's POV |**

I stood in the middle of the corridor at school, looking around. Searching. But no one was here. I was alone.

A loud bang echoed through the halls followed by heavy footsteps. Dread filled my stomach as I turned to see who or what was coming. But I saw nothing. No one was there. All I could hear were the footsteps. Coming closer and closer. So close.

I turned to run, my instincts crying for me to leave, but I smashed into a body instead.

I screamed. No one could hear me. No one but the figure in front of me.

He only chuckled, the deep sound sending waves of fear through my body.

When I woke up, I was shaking underneath my thin blanket. The light in my bedroom kept the room bright but I was still wary, expecting someone to be in the room with me, sneaking in when I finally did manage to fall asleep late last night. Or was it early this morning?

I only relaxed when I looked around the sparse room, into all the corners, and realized I was alone. Safe.

For now.

I rolled out of bed and crept into the bathroom, getting a bath in and checking my wounds. My back felt hot and when I managed to turn in a way to see the wounds, the cuts were red and a little swelled. I took the last of the pills Dr. Green gave me and hoped for the best.

I went downstairs, did all my chores, cleaning up after Maria once again. I always wondered why she hasn't gained any weight considering she wasn't an active person and she enjoyed binge eating at night. Most mornings I had to clean up after her mess before Diane saw.

My movements felt sluggish but I pushed through it. I was exhausted. My bed called to me. But I needed to finish up and then go to school. My hands shook as I finished cleaning the floors and got started on breakfast.

I was just finishing with cooking breakfast when Diane came out of her room. Her dark brown hair was messy, making me think about how Gabriel would react to seeing hair like that. I hid a smile at the thought. Her eyes were dull and I knew she was coming out of a high from her medication. Not that she'd be out of it for long.

She didn't look at me. Didn't even acknowledge me. She just walked over to the fridge, grabbed a bottle of water and then closed the door, shuffling back into her room. I heard her bedroom door close before I allowed myself to relax.

I set out the food just in time for Maria to come down, grab a plate, and eat. Dad came out of the room, grumbling about something. I made him a breakfast sandwich that he grabbed before going out the door. He rarely ate breakfast at the house when he was home.

I stood at the counter and ate the scrambled eggs, staring at my plate. The door opened again and Diane came back out. She looked more alert now, her eyes skimming over us before landing on her plate. She grabbed it, sat next to Maria, and ate.

No one said anything.

Maria finished first, leaving her plate as she went out the front door.

I finished next, quickly washing my plate. I went over to the table to grab Maria's plate to clean it.

Diane's hand snatched it away before I could grab it.

I froze with my hand still reaching out and stared at Diane.

She eyed the plate, eyed me, and then smirked as she drew her arm back.

I tried to step away when I realized what she was going to do but I wasn't fast enough. Her arm swung and the plate smashed into my back. She hit me with the edge of the plate. It felt like she was cutting me up again. I grunted in pain as I hunched over.

Diane stood up and dropped the plate down, letting it shatter all over the floor. She chuckled.

"Have a good day at school," she snarled into my ear. She walked behind me and drove her elbow into my back, right where she slammed the plate into me, before laughing and going back into her room.

Tears filled my eyes as I forced myself to breath, to work through the pain that threatened to consume me.

Breathe in.

One.

Two.

Three.

Breathe out.

My breathing stammered as I let the air out and I did it again.

Breathe in.

One.

Two.

Three.

Breathe out.

I coughed which only aggravated my ribs.

I could do this.

Breathe in.

One.

Two.

Three.

Breathe out.

Again. And again. Until the pain subsided.

I straightened up and paused as the room tilted. I shook my head and realized that was a mistake. Black spots dotted my vision and I took in a couple more deep breaths, waiting it out. When I could move again, I cleaned up the mess and then went outside to wait for the bus. I blocked out the pain as best as I could and clenched my hands, trying to hide the shaking.

Kota and Nathan were there and greeted me. I nodded in greeting, glad the bus was already pulling up. I got on, taking an empty seat. The boys sat down next to me.

"Are you okay?" Nathan asked. "You don't look too good."

"Mmhm," I responded, not trusting myself to put words together. The boys shared a look and a buzzing went off. Kota pulled out his phone and read whatever was sent to him. He sent out a response, his fingers flying over the touch screen. Whatever he said was a long text message.

I turned and stared out the window for the rest of the bus ride, trying to not move or scream or cry every time the bus jerked to stop or sped up or turned.

Finally, we get to school and we made our way off the bus.

"Would you like to go see Dr. Green? He can give you some more pain medication if you need it," Kota asked, pushing his glasses up his nose.

I shook my head and just walked towards the courtyard where the rest of the boys were waiting. I sat down, pulled out a book, and pretended to read while I waited for the bell to ring.

When it did ring, I was up and making my way to homeroom. I sat down, North settling in behind me and Luke in front. Luke turned to say something but his words sounded faint.

"I'm sorry, what?" I asked. Or at least I thought I did.

Who knows, because next thing I remembered was everything going black.
