**| Sang's POV |**
I was curled up on the couch at Victor's house trying to focus on the movie before me. Luke was next to me, smiling as he watched the talking animals on the screen joke around with some man who was apparently a doctor.
I kept zoning out, remembering the look on Mr. Blackbourne's face as he left. I ruined everything. I'm sure I was just an assignment now, something he just wanted to check off his to-do list. Once they helped me, I was going to be let go. I just knew it.
All the thinking and stress plus the medication finally got to me and I dozed off. When I woke up next, I was disoriented. I was no longer on the couch but in a bedroom with soft, warm bedding.
I smiled, staring at the pink nightlight. Without it, I probably would have freaked out.
A soft snore caught my attention and I stiffened before looking next to me. I held in a giggle at the position Luke was in on the bed. He was sleeping on his stomach with a pillow tucked into his side with his arm wrapped around it as if he were holding a stuffed animal. One leg was straight out and the other hooked the side of the mattress. His face was turned towards me, his mouth slightly opened as he breathed.
He looked so comfortable.
I got up, stretching and wincing at the slight tugging on my back. I padded over to the bathroom attached to the bedroom and quickly used it. When I came back, I noticed a large manila folder leaning against the bottom of the bed frame with black letters scrawled over the front. When I got closer, my heart rate picked up as I realized my name was written on it.
Sang Sorenson.
In strong bold lettering.
I didn't recognize the writing as any of the boys and wondered who left it and when. The pain medication Dr. Sean forced me to take earlier must have knocked me out because I usually sensed when someone was moving around in the room I'm sleeping in. Living with Diane, I had to learn very quickly to be aware even while sleeping. She has snuck up me a couple of times at night.
I bent down and stared at the folder, waiting for it to explode or jump out at me. Something. Anything. When it just continued to lean against the bed, I let out a nervous laugh. Why was I so scared? It was just an envelope.
My hands shook as I reached out for it, my mind screaming to leave it alone. Something wasn't right. I knew that but if I wanted to know what was wrong, I needed to look inside.
I grabbed the envelope and went over to a desk with a small lamp on it. I flicked it on, checking to make sure it wasn't bothering Luke. All he did was snort as he shifted on the bed, his hand reaching further over, as if checking to see if I was still there. He stayed sleeping even though his hand didn't find me.
I turned the envelope around and slowly opened the flap. I peered inside. No bomb or puff of powdered poison. Just what looked like sheets of paper. I pull them out slowly, biting at my lip and dropped them when I saw what was on them.
Images of a little girl with blonde hair and green eyes tied to a chair, a blindfold over her eyes, a cloth stuffed into her mouth, tears streaming down her cheeks.
I let out a wail of pain as the photographs flittered to the ground. I fell to my knees as my eyes found another image. That same twelve-year-old girl, standing in a dark room, her feet bare, blood splattered on her face as she stared down at a body with wide, horrified eyes. A man in a white mask standing behind her in the shadows.
