Thanks to Tapiona and SilasAggeleMou for beta reading this chapter for me. Your thoughts, ideas, suggestions, and keen eye helped me get through this 3k words chapter and to go in a better direction. This was definitely a hard chapter to write and all that happens is that they talk! I hope everyone enjoys it and please let me know what you think! I love your thoughts and comments, a lot of them bringing a smile to my face.

**| Sang's POV |**

I wanted to stay in the darkness that surrounded me and kept me away from everyone and everything, which was funny considering the dark scared me. But the pain and heat forced me to slowly wake up. I couldn't hide in my unconscious state forever apparently. When I shifted on whatever I was lying on, pain shot through my back. My eyes flew open at that and I gasped.

Seven boys and two teachers surrounded my bed.

I tried to sit up, gritting against the pain. I did not want to be on my back with all of them towering over me. I looked at all the concerned faces, minus a very stoic Mr. Blackbourne.

I looked down at myself, trying to remember what happened. I was in homeroom. Luke was saying something. Then nothing.

I had fainted.

I tugged at my shirt and realized it was different. Very different. And belonged to a man. Someone had changed me. My head snapped back up to the boys when I realized they knew and that was why they looked so tense and anxious.

I licked my lips and a throat clearing caught my attention.

I looked into steel grey eyes that weren't going to be appeased with lies or half truths.

"Will you explain to me why you have four knife wounds carved into your back?" he said in a smooth voice, his grey eyes were knowing and demanding. He wanted answers and nothing short of the truth would make him happy. I shivered and looked down at my lap, feeling intimidated by his stare.

"What happened?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

"You fainted in homeroom, Sang. North and Luke brought you here. You're in the nurse's office right now," Dr. Green answered, stepping closer. "You were bleeding and I had to stitch up two of the cuts. Three of them were infected."

I bit down on my cheek, tears filling my eyes. They were going to leave me when I told them. I just knew it. Who wanted to deal with someone so messed up and so difficult, who would only put them in danger?

"Aggele," Silas knelt down next to me. He grabbed my hand and squeezed it. "Please tell us what happened. Whatever is wrong, we will fix it. It's what we do best. We fix things."

I shook my head. "This isn't about a broken lamp, this is about my life."

"Peanut," Nathan came forward, sitting on the bed by my feet. His hand landed on my leg. "We understand. Trust us, we completely understand. We all come from broken homes, some more complicated than others but we managed to fix it. Let us fix it for you too."

I let out a huge shudder and wiped at my face.

"I don't know how. I don't know how to even tell you," I admitted. I never outright told anyone. I never told them what happened. It's not exactly something one goes around broadcasting. I couldn't exactly say 'Hey, my mother hurts me. The other day, she held me down and carved my back up.'

"Just say whatever it was you were just thinking," Mr. Blackbourne said and my eyes widened. Did he just read my mind?

"Please," Silas begged and my heart hurt at the broken look in his eyes. He looked so helpless. Desperate. And it was because of me.
