**| Sang's POV |**

Victor called down to the kitchen and ordered some snacks for everyone. I fiddled with the clock some more, still feeling proud about making it run backwards. When I was little, I found a box full of old clocks and I spent a long time playing with them. I didn't have a lot to play with growing up but those clocks were able to keep me entertained for hours and it was fun to discover how they worked and were put together

There was a soft knock on the door before it opened and a young servant came inside. Her hair was dark, bobbed around her face, framing her dark eyes. She was probably only a couple years older than us. The servant glanced around the room, pausing on me, before continuing to look until she found Victor.

"I brought your food," she said in a soft voice, her eyes flickering back to me.

"Thank you, Muriel," Victor said, not really paying attention to her, his focus on the screen. He was frowning at it and from what I could see, half the screen were a bunch of small blocks and then the other half was one large block and each block was a different camera view. The image in the large block kept changing as Victor went to different cameras.

Muriel frowned but set the food down on a nearby table before going back to the door. She turned to Victor. "Is there anything else I can get you?"

Victor turned to me. "Do you want something else to drink instead of tea?" he asked.

I shook my head. "Tea is fine."

He nodded. "No thanks. We are all set."

Muriel frowned, looking at me again, something dark flashing through her eyes. I suppressed a shiver as she turned and closed the door softly behind her as she left the room.

"Eat something, Sang baby," North said, looking up at me. "You'll be busy at the hospital and knowing Doc, he'll forget to feed you."

I nodded and went over to the spread Muriel left for us.

There were fruits, cheeses, crackers, cold cuts, and veggies. I grabbed a small plate and filled it with fruit and crackers.

As I sat down, the door opened and Dr. Sean swept into the room with a big smile. "I've come to collect my Pookie," he sang, coming towards me.

Mr. Blackbourne came in behind him. He nodded at me before turning to Victor. "Any changes?"

"None. He isn't showing up on any of the cameras. I tried to track the man he slipped something to but no luck in that direction either."

Mr. Blackbourne nodded as if he expected this. "Do you think he's Volto?"

At the mention of Volto, my chest tightened with fear. I shook my head. "That doesn't seem right. Volto is always very careful to make sure his face is never seen. That's one of the reasons why we were never able to figure out who he was. It doesn't seem right that he would suddenly let us see his face."

"Besides, from what we heard about Volto and from the night he broke into Sang's house, I'm more inclined to think he's a man of action and not one to skulk around to just watch," Victor said.

Mr. Blackbourne nodded. "And Doukas hasn't made any attempts to approach you except the first time you bumped into him. He doesn't seem like he wants to hurt you or take you away."
