**| Sang's POV |**

I felt like a zombie as I shuffled towards Dr. Green's and Mr. Blackbourne's office. Every time I blinked, I had to force my eyelids back open.

I made the mistake of trying to get over my fear of the darkness by shutting the light off and forcing myself to try to go to sleep. After three hours, I gave up and turned the light on, spending the rest of the night shaking.

"Are you feeling okay?" Victor asked. He was escorting me to the office this morning while the other boys did other things that they said I didn't need to worry about.

I nodded, too tired to say anything.

When we reached the office, Victor knocked and then opened the door for me, motioning me to go inside first. Another thing I noticed about them was the fact that they would always open the doors for me. It was nice.

"Pookie," Dr. Green said, smiling as I walked in.

"Dr. Green," I whispered.

The smile faltered and he tilted his head to the side, taking me in. "How are you feeling this morning? Do you still have a fever? How much pain?"

"I'm just tired. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night."

"Why?" Mr. Blackbourne asked. He was sitting at his desk, focused on something on his screen.

I looked at the three of them before letting out a defeated sigh. "I turned off the light, hoping I wasn't scared of it anymore. It didn't work and I stayed up for the rest of the night."

"You shouldn't have to deal with that alone," Dr. Green said.

"But I can't be afraid of the dark forever."

"Let us help you."

I shook my head. "It's a stupid fear. You guys don't need to help me with it. I'll get myself over it."

Victor shifted on his feet and when I looked at him, I had to look away in guilt. He looked sad, his brown eyes not as passionate as they usually were. "Princess, we want to help you. With every thing, including your fear. It isn't stupid to be afraid of the dark and this isn't something you should have to face alone."

I opened my mouth to respond but closed it when I realized telling them I've always been alone probably wasn't a good idea.

"How about we table this discussion for another time so Dr. Green can look her over and you won't be late for homeroom?" Mr. Blackbourne said, not even looking up from the screen. It seemed his frown deepened.

I wanted to go over and look to see what had him captivated but remembered when Victor shut his laptop off so I wouldn't see what he was doing.

"Good idea," Dr. Green said. He patted his desk where it was cleaned off. "Come over here, Pookie, and let me have a look."

I walked over and jumped up onto the desk, settling down. The desk was high enough for my feet to dangle off the edge.

Victor chuckled and shook his head.

"What?" I asked, frowning.

"Nothing, Princess."

"He's just laughing because you're short enough to not touch the floor," Dr. Green said.

I swung my legs and looked up at Victor. "At least I get to this."

His smile warmed up as his eyes blazed with amusement. He nodded as he watched my legs swing. "That is pretty fun to do."
