**| Sang's POV |**
I snuck over to Nathan's house, carrying a bag of clothes to change into after I finished swimming. The cotton shorts and pink tank top I wore now was going to act as my swimming clothes. I did have a swimsuit but I wasn't about to put my bruises on display.
Besides, I didn't want to have to answer questions on why I had the bruises in the first place and I had a feeling Kota wasn't one to let things like that go. And questions never led to anything good.
I once had a teacher ask questions and she only made it worse for me. Diane did her worse on me and Dad easily covered it up with his connections. The teacher transferred to a new school.
When I reached Nathan's house, I rang the doorbell. Moments passed before Nathan answered. He spotted me and broke out into a wide smile, his blue eyes lighting up.
"You made it," he said. "Come on in."
"Thank you."
He led me through the kitchen, into a living room with sliding doors that led outside, to his pool. I could smell the chlorine and heard someone splashing around. We stepped out onto a huge deck outside and I paused to take in the little slice of paradise before me.
He had a large in-ground pool that sparkled in the sun. A few lawn chairs and tables were set up around it. There was a raised concrete section that had a massive grill on it and what looked like a bar but instead of alcohol, there were a couple bottles of water, juices, and soda set out.
A fence wrapped around the yard to create privacy and for a moment, I felt like I walked through a portal into paradise.
Victor and Kota were already in the pool, their hair flat from being wet. Water glistened as it dripped down their handsome faces and muscular chests. They were most definitely in healthy conditions.
"Sang," Kota called out. He looked completely different without his glasses on.
"Glad you're here," Victor said and I smiled at the two of them, nodding as a greeting.
Nathan walked over to a lawn chair and pulled off his red shirt.
Wow.
I now understood what it meant to be 'struck speechless'.
I knew when I first spotted him that he was fit, but not quite this fit. His muscles flexed with every movement and I knew I wouldn't be able to wrap both my hands around his biceps. He turned to face me and smirked because he knew I was checking him out.
My face turned into fire and I just wanted to dunk my head into the pool to cool off. I never paid attention to boys before I met Kota and now it seemed him and his friends were turning my life upside down, slowly, day by day. And I've only known them for two days.
Nathan looked me over and frowned. "Do you have a bathing suit to change into? I can show you where the bathroom is."
I shook my head. "I couldn't find it so I'm just going to wear this. I brought a change of clothes for when I'm done." The whole time I talked, I kept my eyes on the pool.
There was a slight pause before Nathan spoke. "If you say so."
He ran and jumped into the pool, tucking his knees in and wrapping his arms around them.
