**| Sang's POV |**

Luke was lost in thought as he held onto my hand and led the way to Nathan's house. His other hand gripped his cellphone and his serious eyes kept glancing around the trees surrounding us. His blond hair was swept back in a man bun, showing off his high cheekbones and strong chin. My cheeks warmed as I realized I was staring at him again. All the boys were handsome and moments like this made it hard to forget that.

"Luke?" I asked in a low voice, unsure of how to ask what I wanted to ask.

He stopped walking and turned to me.

"Cupcake?" he responded, cocking an eyebrow, daring me to back out of what I had to ask.

I pursed my lips briefly, thinking my words over, trying to get the courage to ask him.

"Do...do you think my dad is in massive trouble?" I finally asked.

He tilted his head to the side and I knew he was carefully considering my question and how to answer it. "I think those contacts you've mentioned your dad having is finally coming back to bite him in the ass." He nodded at his answer. "And I think he'll drag you down with him if we don't get on top of this."

He squeezed my hand tighter, as if afraid I would slip away from him.

"I won't let him take you down with him. We know he is into something. Volto's existence verifies that. It's just a matter of what and how. He's clean as far as we can tell. Victor has been going at it to find something on him but there isn't anything so far. Hopefully, after we speak with the Toma team, Corey will be able to dig deeper and further. He's better when it comes to getting information from foreign countries."

I nodded and stayed quiet as we walked up to Nathan's front door. Luke opened it without knocking and led me into the kitchen,

"Sit and let me show you the magic of my cooking," Luke winked before digging around in the kitchen.

"Is that Peanut with you?" Nathan called out.

"No, just me in here," Luke yelled back and I giggled.

"When did you giggle like a girl?" Nathan asked, his voice closer.

"When I found some helium at the diner," Luke responded.

My body shook at their conversation.

"That shit is going to ruin your voice and then you'll walk around sounding like Alvin."

My giggles turned into full on laughter as Nathan walked in. He paused at the door and his smiled widened as he took me in.

"I knew you were here," he said, coming closer and pulling me into a hug.

I looked up at him. "Hi."

"Hi." He grinned and kissed the top of my head before pulling away. I blinked and looked at Luke, wondering what he would think about the show of affection from Nathan. Luke was smiling and only winked at me as he turned to pull meat out of the fridge.

Was kissing not a big deal? Was it only a big deal if it was on the lips?

I looked between the two, confused by it.
