**| Nathan's POV |**

We got off the bus in front of Kota's house and I spotted the car right away. I looked at Kota.

Car's back.

He glanced over at the car and then back to me.

Find out who it is.

I smirked. Challenge accepted.

We ignored the dark blue Toyota Camry as we went towards Kota's house, watching Sang go into her house. If I had the means, I would keep her out of that house. A few times, Kota had to stop me from storming the house, giving her stepmother a taste of her own medicine. See how she feels about being shoved into a chest over night or having her back carved into.

I let out a frustrated breath as the door closed behind my Peanut.

"Everything will work out," Kota said, patting my back.

"This is bullshit."

"This is delicate. We can't just pull her out, not knowing more about her dad and their situation. And we can't get the police involved because of her ghost bird status. They'll take her away from us and she'll be even more vulnerable if Volto is after her specifically."

I snorted, thinking of my brothers and their growing interest in Sang. "And at this point, none of us want her leaving."

I liked Sang, a lot, and I knew my brothers felt the same. She was this shy introvert, scared of the world, but throw a challenge and she was game. I loved her competitive streak. Of course, my brothers were all finding something they liked about her too. The idea of all of us falling in love with her scared me. I didn't want her presence ruining our relationship but I needed to keep her close.

"Exactly," Kota said, breaking me from my thoughts. "And I'm worried about what she said about her father taking her and disappearing. She makes it sound like it has happened a few times already. Her dad has connections. He has to if he was able to get Sang here from Greece without a real passport. Victor has been trying to figure that out but he keeps coming back clean."

I knew Kota was right. I knew it but it didn't mean I liked it. I hated it. I hated every single thing about this situation. She shouldn't be in that house. She shouldn't be hunted by some crazy asshole in a white mask. She's only fifteen. And there was something else. I saw it in her eyes. She was hiding more from us but getting her to tell us anything about her and her family was worse than going to the dentist to get wisdom teeth pulled out.

"I'm going to go for a jog. I left some clothes in your room," I said, going inside and upstairs to his room.

I quickly changed and went outside. I made a point to stretch my legs and then untangle the earphones and plugging it into my phone. I pretended to turn some music on and then took off in a light jog towards the mysterious car.

I pretended to be lost in the actions of jogging but I kept an eye out for the car. Someone was definitely inside and I was pretty sure they were focused on Sang's house.

Damn. She didn't need more trouble. I was kind of hoping it was Mr. McCoy. He's been keeping an eye on my other brothers for a couple of days now and even followed North around one evening. It was only a matter of time before he came to watch our houses.
