**| Sang's POV |**

I was currently sitting in AP Geometry with North and Nathan while Ms. Smith went on and on about information I already knew. I couldn't focus as I kept losing myself in my thoughts.

I was so deep into them that I jumped when there was a loud bang. I blinked and turned to the loud noise.

A boy with curly black hair was on his feet, glaring at the boy next to him. The second boy held his hands up.

"I didn't mean anything by it," he said. "Calm down, man."

The one standing up turned red as he swore at his friend and swung at him, knocking the one sitting out of his seat.

Nathan and North were on their feet in moments and as the class cheered at the action and got up to stand around them, they pushed their way through. I could see North towering over everyone as he tried to hold back the one who started the fight while Nathan disappeared, probably trying to give support to the boy who got hit.

Moments later, they were taking the two boys out of the classroom, North dragging the angry one who was ranting and raving now about useless friends who needed to get a clue.

"Settle down," Ms. Smith said, pushing her glasses up. Everyone kept chattering, awake now that something interesting occurred. It took her a few more moments to get them to stop talking and then continued on with her lecture.

My phone buzzed against my chest and I blushed as I leaned forward and quickly pulled it out.

Nathan: Victor is going to meet you after class to bring you to the music room. Wait for him.

Sang: Okay. Is everyone okay? Why did that happened? Weren't those two friends?

A few minutes passed before I got a response back.

Nathan: We think it's drugs. He had a mental breakdown from them and we are sending him to the hospital.

Dr. Green: Remember, Sang, say no to drugs. And if anyone offers you any, let us know. They seem to be getting around the school.

Sang: Same to you too, Dr. Sean. Say no to drugs. It really isn't an issue for me.

Dr. Green: No, I don't think drugs will ever be an issue for you.

I frowned at the text but then tucked my phone away when no one else sent me a message. I tried tuning into what the teacher was saying but it was impossible so instead I doodled as my thoughts fled to Mr. Blackbourne's words for about the hundredth time.

We will take care of you, Miss Sorenson.

Take care of me. What did that mean? I wasn't sure but I think I was learning more the longer I stayed around the boys.

Them opening doors for me.

Them coming to my rescue.

Them asking about my health.

Them asking if I was okay.

Them making sure I ate.

Them making me smile.

Making me happy.

Making me safe.

Making me feel safe.
