It's a day before Christmas and I need to get things for people I haven't shopped for. I know I should have done it a while ago but I never did. I got dressed and went to the store. I need to get my little cousins something. I went to the toys to find them something.

I paid for their gifts and headed home. I quickly wrapped them and put them under the tree. Everyone is coming over to our house for Christmas. My mom was in the kitchen on her laptop. I sat across from her and she looked up.

"What's up?" She asked closing her computer.

"Nothing just got the rest of the gifts"

"Oh fun. Grandad and Grandma got Randy when you were gone"

"Finally that dog left"

"Ellie?"

"No I love Randy don't get me wrong it's just he is crazy and leaves hair everywhere"

"That's true" She said drinking water.

I looked out the window and it was quiet.

"Are you bored?"

"I guess there is nothing to do"

"Well you know Jason is back for the holidays you haven't seen him since you were younger since he moved away with his mom"

"No mom I'm not going over there and talking to him"

"Why not he is just a house over"

"No it's not going to happen"

"You don't have to sit and talk you can just go over there and say hi and give them this pie I made for them"

"No"

"Listen Ellie there is more to life then just Harry you can go over there and say hello"

"Mom this has nothing to do for Harry and I don't know why you are making such a big deal about this?"

"Your right I'm sorry.... Can you just please go over there and give it to his father maybe he isn't home at the moment"

"Fine"

"Thank you the pie will be done in a few minutes"

I sat in my chair and was on my phone. I haven't seen Jason in forever. I was glad when he moved away he was nice but annoying and had a crush on me and he wasn't good looking. But why would my mom bring up Harry in this? She is so crazy and gets a little rude before the holidays. Her voice pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Just a quick question I know I shouldn't be asking this but have you and Harry you umm... Know had sex"

My eyes grew wide. Did she hear us?

"What mom sick no not at all why would you ask that?"

"I'm sorry it's just you two are getting into a serious relationship and I was just wondering?"

"No and anyways if we did it's none of your business" I lied to my mom.

Like I'm going to tell her Harry and I have had sex. The pie was done and I walked over to Jason's old house. I knocked on the door and it took a while but someone opened the door.

"Hello?.... Wait Ellie is that you?" Jason opened the door. He has changed. He's actually good looking. Not that I'm attracted to him.

"Hi Jason how have you been?"

"I've been good here come in"

I stepped inside and he shut the door. I followed him to the kitchen. I saw his dad standing there chopping something.

"Oh hello Ellie" His father Ross said.

"Hi" I waved.

"Um my mom made you this pie" I said handing it to Jason.

They thanked me and Jason took me to the living room. He wanted to talk. Why?

"How have you been?"

"I've been good how have you been I haven't seen you since we were children when you moved"

"Yeah ha I've been good"

"That's good" I smiled.

"I've seen you on the news too want to explain that?" He asked laughing. Yeah it's funny?

"Um well my friend Harry and I have been hanging out and people talk about it"

"Oh so he's your friend?" Here we go the same old Jason.

"Um yeah?"

My phone started to ring. I looked down and it was Harry perfect timing.

"I'm sorry but my boyfriend is calling me have a nice holiday tell your father I said bye" I said and stood up. I waved and Jason awkwardly waved since he found out I had a boyfriend.

I walked out and answered.

"Hello?" I asked walking into my house.

"Ellie I miss you"

"I miss you too"

"What have you been doing?"

"Giving someone a pie"

"Oh nice"

"Yeah?"

"Well I was calling because I'm going to a pub and if I don't call that's why"

I laughed.

"Okay you don't need to tell me that"

"Yes I did"

"Well alright then"

"I love you baby"

"Love you too bye"

"Bye Merry early Christmas"

"Are you sure your not already drunk?"

"I'm sure"

I laughed and hung up.
