Niall's P.O.V

Stupid motherfucker slamming on his breaks right in front of me. I had to slam on mine, to prevent myself from hitting him because then he'll try to sue me or some shit.

I didn't even realize Alex didn't have her  seat belt on. I hear her scream, making my ears ring. I heard a loud ass thud, but I didn't know that was the sound of the back of Alex's head crashing into the glove department. The thud sounded like a hammer being thrown at a door.

I try to raise up her head, but she just cries loudly with her knees cramped up to her chest and her hand on the back of her head where she had hit it.

When someone knocks at the window, I glance for a second, then looking back to Alex whenever she gasped loudly as her face turns red. She hit her head in the same spot accidentally, trying to see who was at the window.

I get out of my car, shouting at the man in his early 30's or late 20's. He's old enough to know by now that you don't drive like a fucking dingbat.

I smash his body on the ground, punching him repeatedly.

"You hurt my girlfriend, you piece of shit!" I throw one more punch at him.

"Don't bother getting the law involved with this shit unless you want me to show them how you injured my girlfriend's head." I grit my teeth at him.

"Okay, okay." He says, walking off. I get back in the car, shutting the door and lean over to help Alex up and back into the seat.

"Is your head bleeding?" I ask and she shakes her head no. Her eyes are red and puffy as she still sniffles.

"How do you feel?" I ask, rubbing her back.

"I feel like you're still mad at me, but other than that I'm hungry and my head hurts." I laugh and then stop whenever she glances at me.

"I was mad at you. In fact, I was furious. I just didn't want you driving reckless and end up hurting of us." I look down.

"And honestly, I feel like you almost didn't deserve to drive my car. I'm not trying to sound selfish, but it was just the way you went about it. You got angry and stood behind my car. I didn't even see you back there, Alex." I say staring at her big brown eyes.

"I'm sorry I went bratty on you and I know I'm stubborn, but that's just how I am." She apologizes, fumbling with the sleeves of my jacket that she's wearing.

"Well, we both have stuff to work on. You have to work on your stubbornness and I have to work on being so.." I trail off.

"Aggressive." She says the word that I wasn't looking for, but I realize that's exactly what I need to work on.

"I had the right to be aggressive, Alex. You knew full well you hit me in the balls whenever you snatched those keys." She laughs, looking down still fiddling with the jacket.

"Is this funny to you?" I smirk at her and she keeps laughing. I reach my arm around to her opposite shoulder and pull her to me. Lightly biting at her cheeks as she giggles, scrunching her face up like a bunny. I let go of her and start driving.

"You remind me of a hamster whenever you do that." She says. "I used to have a hamster when I was younger." She nods in remembrance like it was her best friend.

"What happened to it?"

"Niall, they don't live for a long time. It died a few months after I got it." She leans her head to face me because the back of her head is very sensitive right now.

"I know they don't, but I do know that they live longer than a few months." I laugh at her and she opens her mouth, offended that I offended her dead rodent.
