Niall's P.O.V

Whenever Alex found out that I had bought her a plane ticket to go see her mom, she was happy and kind of mad that I was eavesdropping on her conversation with her mother. I kept hearing her on the phone with her mom while she was in the backyard sitting down, but she was too happy to actually be mad at me. She's been gone for almost two and a half weeks, but I think she needed it. I've been picking up her homework assignments and doing a few of them because the last thing I want is Alex to come back stressed out and crying from having too much to do at once. I've seen what she's like whenever she's overwhelmed, it's sad and stressful on my behalf. Seeing her cry is the sad part and having to calm her down is the stressful part.

I've been checking out apartments for me to move in and move out of that frat house, but that means I wouldn't be able to be in the fraternity anymore. I'm here on a scholarship and being in a fraternity makes it look good on my school record, so if I move, I might lose my scholarship.. which also means I can't go to this college anymore. I'd have to go to a different college and there aren't any nearby. The closest one is two hours away, almost three.

"Dude, she's gonna bust your balls," Louis laughs. I thanked him so many times for helping Alex because she was used as a punching bag.

Right now, we're out at the bar having a few beers just to talk.

"You're totally pussy whipped over that girl and you know it. She won't let you move even if you wanted to." He laughs. All I did was ask him about how he thinks Alex would react to me telling her that I might be moving colleges due to the fact that I want to move houses.

"Shut up..maybe she will understand. I just have to talk to her in person. I'll do it whenever she gets back next weekend." I take a swig of my beer just to drown out the negative things that I plotted out in my head. I don't want her to be mad at me.

"Might as well get prepared to get your ass kicked, 'cause that's exactly what Alex is going to do!"

"This isn't funny, man! I'm being serious," I swallow more beer.

"I am being serious!" He slurs. "She's gonna be pissed. I bet you one hundred dollars!"

"You're on. I know how Alex is..she'll be fine."

Today is the day Alex comes back and I am nervous to tell her a bit, but at the same time I'm happy to see her and I think she'll understand why I want to move. Speaking of Alex, I forgot to reply to her text message last night.
