Andy's P.O.V
I know he doesn't like her. He's just going to work his way into her head and he'll end up having sex with her. Then, she'll have her heartbroken over this asshole.
I leave a fifty dollar bill on the table and walk after her. We get outside and she keeps speed walking away.
They're dating? Over my dead fucking body.
"Alex," I see her turn around and she takes off running. She's running like she does in cross country so she won't have an asthma attack. I have to speed up my running just to get near her.
"Alexandra!" I yell and reach for her elbow, pulling her to me.
"Don't fucking touch me." She snaps and tries to get out of my hold that I have on her elbow. I make sure I'm not holding her elbow too tight as she keeps hitting me with her free arm.
"What do you mean you two are dating?" I talk to her in a civil manner because we're in public.
"Get off of me." She strains her voice as he pushes me away, getting out of my hold, running off again.
"Alexandra!" I shout, running behind her. She just got here! How could she have a boyfriend already? Especially Niall, I know he just wants to sleep with her.
She stops dead in her tracks and I almost run into her from being so close.
"Stop calling me that." I know my dad used to call her that and she hates it. I knew shed turn around if I called her.
"He just wants to get in your pants, Alex. Stop being stubborn and listen to me." I tell her.
"No, he doesn't." She bites back.
"You're dating him now, but watch he's just going to escalate his way until he gets to have sex with you." I warn her. I feel my fists clenching beside me and she notices.
"You won't hit me." She looks at me with a completely straight face. I know I won't hit her, but I need to hit something because she frustrating the crap out of me.
"Niall just wants to get in your pants, Alex." I look down, getting closer to her face, clenching my jaw.
"He already has." She says like a know it all, getting closer to my face, pushing me back and walking away.
"What the fuck did you say?" I yell at her, running after her as she runs quickly.
She runs up the stairs to her dorm because the elevator would take too long and I'd catch her. She throws the trashcan down towards me once she reaches the top of the staircase, letting herself get ahead.
I run up to her and she runs inside not having time to shut it. I'm more upset at her than I am at him at the moment because I know what happened to Alex whenever we were younger and for her to be so naive disappoints me.
She runs to her bedroom, heading to the bathroom, but I stop the door from closing with my hand.
"Leave me alone!" She yells and I open the door easily. I see her on the other side of the bathroom and I realize why it was so simple to open the door. I notice her hands are over her face. Alex has literally never been much of a crier growing up, but there's so much going on around her and she can't handle it.
"Alex," I walk to her slowly.
"Please leave." She turns around walking around me, going to lay on her bed. I see her face buried in the pillow, her back moving up and down quickly and hear her sniffling. She isolates herself whenever she does cry because she thinks people won't notice.
I sit on her bed, next to her laid out body, and rub her back.
"Alex," I say softly and she shakes her head no. I know she doesn't want to talk to me right now, but she needs to know.
I just keep rubbing her back, as her back moves still.
"Why are you crying?" I question gently. I can't tell if she's crying because she's stressed out, if it's because of the Niall situation, if it's because she allowed him to do that and now she's upset.
"I don't understand what made you guys hate each other so much," She chokes on her words. "I feel like I'm in the middle of this."
"You aren't in the middle of this, Alex." I tell her and she keeps crying.
"Both of you are always fighting each other in front of me and it's scaring me, Andy," She sobs. "It frightens me seeing you both like that."
I bet it does. That's the exact way our dad would look at Alex. I never noticed how much pressure we were putting on Alex with our hatred towards each other.
"I won't hurt you," I tell her. "And neither will he."
"Alex?" I ask after five minutes.
"What?" She has calmed down a bit, but she still has her face in the pillow.
"Did you have sex with Niall?" I watch her back move again and she shakes her head no, making a huge weight lift off of my shoulders. But my mind wonders why she's crying again and I ask the only question I can think of.
"Did you let him touch you?" I ask, praying that she'll say no, but she doesn't. Alex shakes her head yes, crying hard into the pillow, muffling the sound.
"Did you touch him?" She knows exactly what I mean. I don't feel awkward asking her these questions because I asked her them four years ago. Her head nods and I run my hands over my face and tug at my hair.
"Shh," I collect myself together and rub my hands over her back, but she just cries out all of her built up emotions along with the ones from just now.
The front door shuts, it's just Nikki, so I continue to rub Alex's back as she cries, her tears filled with hurt.
"Alex, I tried to text you but you didn't resp-" I turn around to see Niall.
