"The picture!" Alex shouts from the drivers seat and gets out of the car, before she could even drive out of the lot. I move the penguin into the backseat and move to the front. It's late at night and I know Alex's eyesight is bad whenever the sun starts going down, she doesn't notice dark colored cars unless the drive behind her, so she can see their headlights.
I watch her as she runs back into the park, then comes back out ten minutes later, with two snowcones, a red one and a blue one, and a photo between her lips, as she walks slow and carefully back to my car. She comes around to the drivers side an I open the door, she raises the snowcones up, asking me which one I want, and I grab the blue one and thank her.
Alex gets in looking for her penguin, then licking her snowcone while putting on her seat belt. She yelps whenever I press on the gas normally and she almost drops her snowcone, making me slam on my breaks and she almost drops it again.
"I won't drop it," She looks over at me, licking the red syrup that's about to slide off of the cup and onto my floor.
"No, I know how clumsy you are. Stand outside and eat it until it's not higher than the cup." She groans, opening the door and hops out. I watch her use a spoon to get the flavored ice down to the rim of the cup. Mine is practically already low, I eat fast.
I took out of the window whenever I hear Alex screaming and running with her snowcone while a few birds fly after her for it. I can't help but laugh at her as she runs around, waving her arms around at the birds, trying to swat them away from her. If she just dropped the damn cup, then they'd stop chasing after her, but in a way it's like dinner and a movie watching her and the birds. More birds come after her making it around ten and I'm crying laughing in the car, I get my phone and film her acting like a wild banshee.
She runs to the car and gets in, but the window is in and a fucking savage bird flies in the car, making me jump out fast as hell.
"I can't get the door open!" Alex screams, still locked in with the bird. She locked the door whenever she got in. As soon as I felt one of the bird's wings touch my ear, I was out.
"Get away from me," She yells bending down as the bird tries to get to her drink that I don't understand why she still has.
"You aren't getting any! Fuck off!" Alex yells at a bird.
A bird..
A bird that will leave if she throws her drink out of the window. I go around to her side just as another one goes inside and she screams about how they keep pecking her head.
I unlock her door by reaching my hand through the window and open it, getting the birds attention, and throw my cup. They immediately fly to it and I close her door, going back to my side, and get in. I let up the windows, lock the doors, and try not to laugh at Alex, who is still bent over.
"They flew out already," I tell her and she raises up with red tiny marks on her face, along with awful looking hair because the birds walked in it and pecked at it.
"Those fuckers bit me," She glares at me. Probably for not helping her quicker, but I couldn't stop laughing at the time.
"But they didn't touch my snowcone." She sings, smiling, and continues eating her snowcone.
