chapter 52

Alex's P.O.V

"Look, it says Dolphins Only on that sign up there. Dolphins aren't mean." The tunnel goes black again and our tube slides into a deep pool of water. The lifeguards point to the dolphin and then the concrete.

"Hold on to it's fin and it'll take you over there." Niall explains to me and I tell him over and over that I'm not doing this. The lifeguard blows the whistle, telling us to hurry up because other people are about to come. El is already on the other side and Louis is still floating in the tube like Niall and I.

"I need it, no!" I yell at the lifeguard who used a long stick that took the tubs. Niall goes across and I float around, and whenever the dolphin squeals next to me, so do I.

"Hold onto it's fin and that's it. You've got to hurry up, more people are coming!" The lifeguard shouts and the dolphin gets under my hand, so I start feeling how soft it is and it swims me across slowly and I smile at the dolphin whenever I get out of the water.

"Was that so hard?" Niall tells me, moving my hair out of my face and I nod my head, yes. It was hard at first.

"Alex, lets go on that ride over there." El tells me, pointing at something I can't see. Niall goes with Louis to go get on the ride that floats you around.

We get to the ride and I see bumper cars floating on water.

"How about we go on a different ride, yeah?" I smile nervously. El is completely clueless about my disliking of go karts, I understand that these are bumper cars on water, but still.

"Oh, come on," She grabs my hand, tugging me to the line. 16 people are filled up in each bumper car, the game begins and my floaty car is bumped from the back. El is driving her car around, hitting other cars, I drive away from everyone, but some teenage girl rams into me from the side, making my bumper car flip over. I let out a shriek and fight against the water until the lifeguard comes near me, but El beats him, grabbing me out of the water.

"Ma'am, are you okay?" The lifeguard joins around me instantly.

"Niall," Is all I can say while I choke on water.

"Who is that?" The lifeguard looks at El and she informs him that Niall is my boyfriend. El grabs her iPhone in it's waterproof case and calls him, her voice is cracking from her nervous cries. I choke on water while my heart pounds in my chest and less than five minutes Niall is next to me. 

"I'm here, Alex." He says quietly, wrapping his arms around my shaking body. I'm lead to the restroom and he's holding me tightly to his chest, whispering to me that I'm okay and he's always there for me. I nod against his chest and he leans down, kissing my hair repeating.

"Are you okay now?" Niall pushes me back by my shoulders and I nod, sighing.

"What happened?" Louis and El run up to me.

"I'd rather not talk about it," I smile weakly and we change the subject immediately.

"There's cliff diving over there.. if you wanna do it," El says smiling widely, dropping it a little at the end.

"Sure." I smile. I'm not afraid of heights, nor water. The bumper cars just reminded me too much of the go kart incident. Louis cheers and raises his hand up, waiting for me to give him a high five. El and I walk together, talking about the hike up the cliff is hurting our bare feet because of the sticks and other things that poke at our feet. El and I reach the top of the gigantic cliff, the instructor is at the top and he scares me a bit because I didn't see him there.

"There aren't any rocks, so don't worry about that, but don't jump too close." I nod, still staring out at the beautiful waterfall, the dark brown cliffs and the light blue clean water.

"Turn around to get a picture," El tells me and I move away a little from the cliff, still able to get the marvellous view in the back. I bring Niall in the picture with me and El counts down to from three. Niall's lips smash against mine, his hands going around around my waist and the other on my cheek. My body is bent backwards, his body on mine and I put my arm around his torso, the other one going around his neck. The picture is shown to us and it shows us smiling into the kiss.

"I love this photo." I say to El and she flips her hair back dramatically, taking credit for the amazing photo. I take one of her and Louis.

"Whose going first?" The instructor says, laughing at us while we take at least twenty photos. I volunteer Niall and I to go first and he shakes his head, saying that Louis and El should go first instead. I look up slightly at him, the nervous look wiped across his face.

"We're going together, come on." I hold his hand and he looks over the cliff that's higher than two hotels combined.

"Niall quit being a chicken and jump," Louis says playfully and I can feel his hand tighten against mine.

"Hold on, don't jump yet." I tell El and Louis as I bring Niall out of hearing range, so no one else can hear us talking.

"I forgot you're afraid of heights, if you don't want to jump we can just hike back down." Both of our hands latched together, his eyes wonder around pondering over the thought if he wants to or not. He sighs, saying he'll do it and I smile widely, squealing quietly.

"Are you guys still going to jump?" El says, mainly to Niall because she can tell he's a little worried about this. Niall squeezes my hand as we jump off, I scream and he just curses. We hit the water, our hands separate and he swims over at me whenever I come up, laughing.

"Your bikini," He laughs, pulling down my top and my cheeks turn pink, we swim off further and watch Louis and El jump together, both of them yelling. We all swim out of the water and head to the surfing section.

"Bunny, what are you doing?" Niall asks me, laughing, getting Louis and El's attention while we still walk.

"Nothing." I answer quickly and El laughs at me, making an "Oh I know" face and Niall looks down at me a bit, but I try to avoid his eye contact. I put my hands behind my back to hide my bottoms that have bunched up from the hard hit to the water. He moves behind me, putting his arms around my torso and his head on my shoulder. Niall's hands go to the sides of my bottoms and pulling them out of my bum, I hop from being caught off guard, I had no clue that Louis and El had been watching us.

My back is against his chest from me jumping so high from his wondering hands in my swimsuit bottoms. Louis throws El over his shoulder and Niall does the same to me. I hear two males laughing and I scream Niall's name whenever he almost hits me on a wall.

Surfing was fun even whenever a wave knocked the shit out of Niall and he popped up, choking. I help him out of the water, while he stands up on the sand and I hit his back, laughing at him because he was just boasting about how well he is at surfing.

"No!" I can't stop laughing at him whenever he tosses me over his shoulder again. All of us head into the ocean, Louis brings up the idea of tag, but instead if tapping, you have to kiss them and then you have ten seconds to swim off before they're allowed to come after you. The girls are it first and obviously you can only kiss your boyfriend.

It takes me almost twenty minutes to kiss Niall, he swims fast and far, making me exhausted. Shit. I swim off for ten seconds as fast as I can, I turn around to see how close he is to me and he isn't even in sight. I swim further out into the ocean, still underwater and my mind clicks back to the scubadiving day when the sharks and other sea animals came near me. My ankle is yanked down and I scream because I'm going to be eaten by this animal, I turn around, still screaming and by now I'm choking on this nasty ass water, I see Niall leaning forward to tag me, but he stops whenever he sees me like this.

"You scared me." I sigh once I'm finished coughing up water, still in the water.

"I didn't know you'd scream," He says swimming out of the deep part of the ocean and taking us back to the seven feet deep part.

"You're it." Niall quickly pecks my lips while he holds my body to his, not letting me go.
