chapter 44

Alex's P.O.V -

~1 hour later ~

I'm woken up by someone sniffling and sit up in a car, but I'm not steady enough to control my movements just yet, so my head hits the window. My eyes are barely opening slowly, while I hear my door open on my side.

"Alex, are you okay? How's your head? Do you remember me? Do you feel nauseous?" Questions are thrown at me by Niall.

"Barely, it hurts, yes, and barely." I answer his questions and he gets me out of the car, but my legs haven't fully woken up, yet, so I immediately fall straight to the ground. My body falling sideways, my head, arm, ribs, leg, smash into the tiny pointy rocks.

"My head," I strain and Niall picks me up from the ground.

"Is that the same spot from the other time you hit your head?" He dusts my body off, getting the small rocks out of my hair.

My face turns red as nod. I groan to keep myself from crying and I lean over, holding my head. My face makes an expression like I'm about to cry and Niall bends down in front of me, trying to look at me, but my eyes are sealed shut.

Niall's P.O.V

"Alex, where does your head hurt?" I grab her hand and she places it gently on her  bump. It feel like an egg.

"They have to look at it, come on." I make a step away from my car and Alex stops and puts her hand over her bum.

"My underwear is showing," She shakes her head no.

"I'll cover it for you, hold on to neck." I tell her and her arm is wrapped around my neck while my other hand is covering her ass, which I like.

"Niall!" She shrieks and jumps whenever I squeeze her butt, making me laugh. She cringes whenever she shrieks because of her head.

The doctor says that she'll have to get a shot to make the bump go away, but Alex squirms around, kicking the nurses and screaming. I think I'd scream too because this needle is fucking thick, but it's short.

"Alex, stop wiggling around," I hold her torso down, but she keeps covering her head with her hands and kicking people.

"If you don't calm down, you'll just get another shot to make you go to sleep." The nurse raises her voice in a serious tone and Alex starts shouting my name like I'm supposed to fight the nurse.

"Alex,"

"If you don't calm her down, we're giving her the shot. You have 3 minutes." The nurse gives me the most serious look I've ever seen and puts down the needle, crossing her arms.

"Is this bed sturdy enough for me and her?" I ask and the nurse says "obviously". Bitch.

"Well, I only know one way to calm her down and that's kissing her, so.." I tell the nurses around us that Alex has kicked majority of.

"I don't care if that's what you have to do, you have 2 minutes before we put her to sleep." A different nurse says and they all start shouting at me.

I get on the bed, laying directly on Alex's body and she's breathing quickly, shaking her head no, saying she doesn't want to get this shot.

"I'm going to kiss you okay? I know you'll only focus on us, so she's going to give you the shot now okay?" I tell her hovering over her face and she asks to see the size of the needle, so the nurse shows her.

"That's huge! No, no, no!" I see her eyes water and she tries to kick, but she can't move her legs because I'm on them.

"Don't think about it and do not move your head at all." I gently remove her hands and tell her to put them on my back.
