Long conversation

Rileys POV:
I walk into school and go to my locker. I really hope that I dont have to talk to James today. Stupid Riley. Of course you will. You sit with him! After the kiss I dont know what to feel. Should I have made that move? Does he even like me like that? Ill just try and avoid the conversation as much as possible.
The first bell goes and I go to class. Its math first. I have to help James with that so theres no way of avoiding him. I walk in and sit down. James comes in soon later and sits next to me. I look at him but he is looking down at his book. I guess hes finding it hard after last night too. After all I was the one who stormed off. Not him.
Break comes and then lunch. We havent spoken all day. Im sitting alone eating lunch when he comes over and sits next to me. He takes my lunch and puts it next to him.
'Hey!'
'We need to talk right now!'
'About what?'
'For gods sake Ri! You kissed me last night! We need to talk about it!'
'No we dont'
I get up and walk off. He follows me.
'Seriously! You cant avoid it! What happened happened, and now we gotta deal with it!'
I turn around.
'Well what do you wanna say about it?'
'God damm it Ri! Why are you making this so hard?! You kissed me! Why wont you talk about it?!'
'You wanna know why?! Because Im scared James! Im scared about what you might think of me! Last night when you held my hand something just took over and I kissed you. I know I shouldnt have done it but I did! And Im sorry!'
I could feel tears building up. Everyone was silent in the yard and was focused on us. Even some of the teachers were watching.
'Answer me this Ri. How do you really feel about me?'
I look at him.
'I...I guess...I dont know'
'What do you mean you dont know?!'
'I just dont okay! Its just weve become so close latly and Im afraid that if I do something stupid it could ruin what we have. Something stupid like kissing my best friend who I really really like, at his house out side!'
I foze as I realize what I just said.
A smile appeared on his face.
'I...Im sorry. That wasnt ment to come out like that' I quietly say.
He walks towards me and looks me in the eye.
'Riley. You dont have to be afraid about anything you do. If theres something that you really want, dont let anything get in your way. If its a good grade, or even your lunch that I took of you, you should go and get it' he smiles.
I laugh.
'It would be nice to get my lunch back'
'Not untill this is over'
I look down.
'Look Riley. I get why you ran off last night. You were afraid of the reaction I would have given you, and believe me, I would have been too. But I dont think that it did either of us any favours. I bet when you went home last night, you were wondering what today would bring. Am I right?'
I nod.
'And you were thinking about what would happen between us. Right?'
I nod.
'Well the one think that happened to me last night is that I figured out how I really felt about you and about the kiss. The kiss was the most amazing experience ever'
I looked at him.
'And you'
Everyone moved closer to hear what he was going to say.
'You are the most amazing person that I have ever met, and I wouldnt have shared that kiss with anyone else. Only you'
I smiled at him.
'So what does that mean for us?'
'Well it could mean two things. One: it was a mistake and we will never talk about it again. Or two: it was the best thing that ever happened to us and we could possibly start up something'
'Can I ask you something?'
'Sure'
'I know you said you wouldnt have shared that kiss with anyone else, but what are your true feelings for me?'
He looked at me.
'I really like you Riles. And I dont care how many students and teachers are listening. I have no problem in saying that I really like you'
I smile at him.
'Riley?'
'Yeah'
'Will you be my girlfriend?'
I couldnt believe what I was hearing! I smiled at him and jumped into his arms.
'Of course I will!'
'So which option have we gone for? One or two?'
I smile.
'Dugh. Two!'
I look into his eyes and watch them sparcle. I then lean in slowely and kiss him. He smiles and kisses back.
The yard fills with cheeres.
We pull appart smiling.
'I guess we had a pretty bad first kiss hugh?'
He smiles.
'Naa. I think it was cute'
I smile as I lean back in and kiss him. He picks me up and spins me around. I laugh. He puts me down.
'Now that weve sorted this out, can I have my lunch now?'
He smiles as he takes it out of his pocket. He looks at me and then runs off.
'Hey! Thats mine!'
I chase him through the yard as everyone smiles at us. I run up behind him and jump on his back. He stumbles and falls. I land on top of of him. We both start to laugh.
'Ha! Now can I have it?'
I smiles as he gives it to me. I unwrap the foil around it and start to eat.
'Arent you going to give anything to your hungry boyfriend?'
I look at him.
'Nope'
He stands up.
'Suit youself'
He walks off and returns with two ice creams.
'Ooo! Gimmie one!' I say standing up.
'Nope. You didnt give me any of your food'
'Please?'
'No'
I walk over to him.
'Ill be a good girl'
'Still no'
'Will a kiss do?'
He smiles.
'Do you have any food left?'
'No'
'Then a kiss will do just fine baby'
I smile as I lean in. He puts his hand around my waist as I put my hands around his neck.
We pull appart.
'Heres your ice cream princess'
I laugh.
The rest of the day goes on. Im so glad to have that sorted out between us. It feels so good to be his girlfriend.
I cant wait to see what comes next!
