Sacrifice

James POV:
I can hear peoples voices but I cant see anything. All that surrounds me is darkness. I cant move or talk. Then I hear her. That sweet voice that I love. That makes me smile everytime I hear it. She softly speaks to me.
'James. If you can hear me squeeze my hand' she says taking my hand.
I can hear you Riley! I want to squeeze it but I cant. Nothing is working for me.
She starts to talk again.
'James I need you to come back to me. You dont deserve this. You shouldnt be like this. I need you James. We all do. Your my baby and you always will be. Your everything to me and I cant loose you. Please open your eyes James. Please'
I wish I could. I want to and Im trying to, but it wont work. I hear her starting to cry. I hate hearing her crying. She just needs to know that I wont leave her. Im staying and not going anywhere. I made her that promise and Im going to keep it. Whatever it takes Im going to get out of this.
Rileys POV:
I let a few tears fall. I dont know if James heard me or not, but I hope he did. I need him to come back to me. I need him to open his eyes and tell me that hes okay. I need to hear his voice again.
'Riley?'
I look up and see Beth and Charlie standing at the door.
'Beth? What are you doing here?'
'We heard what happened. Im so sorry. Are you okay?' she asks hugging me.
'Yeah Im fine. But James isnt'
They look at James and I can see that Beths heart is breaking and Charlie doesnt know what to do.
'Who was driving the truck that crashed into ye?'
'I dont know. There is an investigation into it. All we know is that by the time the police and ambulance got there the truck driver was gone'
She nods.
'Strange'
'Yeah'
'How are you coping?'
'Im fine. I mean A troupe are a bit upset that they are missing out in the competition, but they didnt want to leave James alone and neither did I'
'Your right. You made the right decision. You can go to Regionals next year, but right now James is more important then any competition'
I nod.
James please wake up!
James POV:
When I hear Beth walk in, Im so happy to hear her again. I havent seen her in a long time. Her and Riley start to talk and then move onto the competition. When Riley says that they stayed and left the competition for me, I feel happy but also sad. Happy to know that they care about me, but sad because they have been preparing for this all year. The longer I stay here, the more they will miss out in the competition. I have to wake up. I just have to.
