Big secret to keep

James POV:
Its been one month since I left to move to England. My moms job is going well and Kevin has been keeping himself busy by getting himself a part time job at a shop. Ive just been hanging around not doing much. I go into town now and again, but I mainly stay at home. Ive been keeping in contact with Riley and everyone else. They all seem to be doing great. I miss them alot.
Next week is my anniversary with Riley. Im planning to go back home to surprise her. I have the plane tickets allready booked and Im so excited. Its just me going home. Kev really wanted to come but I told him that this was something special that I wanted to do for Riley and that he could come next time we were going.
I pick up my phone and face time Riley. A few seconds later she appears on the screen.
'Hey James!'
'Hey babe. How are you?'
'Im great! How are you?'
'Im good.'
'What are you doing?'
'Nothing. When I say nothing, I mean nothing. Ive been sitting around all day trying to find something to do!'
'I think you did in the end.'
'What was that?'
'By face timing me!'
I laugh. I look at her as she smiles at me.
'I really miss you Riles'
'I really miss you too. Are you planning on comming home soon?'
As much as I want to say yes, I cant. I need to keep it as a surprise for her. But I cant say no either.
'Im not too sure. It depends on what we will be doing and how my moms working hours are'
'Oh'
Her voice dropped a bit. I hated it seeing her looking a bit upset, but I hope that she will understand when I show up next week.
'Well enough about me. Whats been happening over there?'
'Not much either. Just the usual homework and stuff'
I smile.
'How is everyone?'
'Sick of school at this stage! Some of the boys tried to make a run out of school at lunch the other day! They were caught and sent to the princaples office and got two weeks detention!'
'Sounds alot like them! If I was there Im sure I would have done it too!'
She laughs.
'Well I gotta go. I have a few things to sort out' she smiles.
'Okay. Ill talk to you later'
'Bye'
'Bye. Oh wait'
She looks at me.
'I love you'
She smiles.
'I love you too'
She places a kiss on her hand and puts it onto her screen. I put my hand on mine and smile.
She presses a button on her side and the screen goes black as her smiling face disappears.
I lock my phone and put it in my pocket. I cant wait to surprise her next week. The door opens and Kevin walks in.
'Hey bro' I say to him.
'James. We need to talk. Now'
'Okay'
He sits down.
'Whats up?'
'Ive done something terrible and I dont know what to do about it. I need your help man!'
'Slow down. Tell me what happend'
'Well...I finished my shift and was collecting my things when this girl that works with me came up to me'
'Kevin...what did you do?'
If he did what I think he did...then hes in trouble.
'Long story short...I kissed her'
'KEVIN! YOU IDIOT!'
'I know okay! It just happened!'
'Have you any idea what Emily is going to do to you?! Shes going to kill you!'
'I need your help! Please?!'
'Bro! Im dating her sister!'
'So?'
'If Riley finds out about this...which she will! Shes going to be so mad at me!'
'Why would she be mad at you?!'
'Because shes Emilys younger sister! They are always there for eachother! And when she finds out about this shes going to come to me about it and go on about how upset you made her!'
'Well then make sure she doesnt find out!'
'Hello! This is Riley we're talking about! She can find out anything from anyone! Im only her boyfried and she can tell when somethings wrong, and weve only been dating a year. Shes known Emily her whole life! Shell find out from her whats going on faster then I can say dont even worry about it to her! You expect her not to find out!!'
He looks at me.
'Look man. I know that your anniversary is next week, and I dont want you getting on the wrong side of her before then, but please...I need your help'
'Have you any idea what this could do? You know how Riley takes things when I keep something from her. She hates it'
'I know Im putting your realitionship on the line with her, but I need you as my brother right now. Please?'
'You have to understand that Im meeting her face to face next week and Emily! I cant keep this a secret!'
'James please! I need you to do this for me!'
I sigh.
'Fine! But you owe me. And you better get this whole thing fixed. Fast. Because if anything happens between me and Riley, its on you. Got it?'
'Yeah man. Dont worry. Jiley will be fine'
'It better be. Because I love her and I cant loose her'
I get up and walk off.
