Walking

James POV:
Riley is sitting on the bed next to me. Im still very weak after what happend but Im improving. I remember clearly what happend. I just wish it didnt happen.
'How are you feeling?' Riley asks me.
'Weak'
'Do you want me to go?'
'No. Please stay'
She smiles
I pull her in for a kiss.
'How did A troupe handle this?' I ask.
'I-um-I didnt tell them. I didnt want to put them under anymore stress'
I nod.
'I really want to get out of here Ri. I hate this'
'I know James. I hate it too. But you need to stay just a little bit longer'
I sigh.
'I guess'
I hope I get out of here soon.
I really do.

..........2 weeks later..........

Riley finally told A troupe what happend. It took some time for me to convince her to, but she finally did. Theyve all been comming in and out check to see how I am which is sweet.

Im looking forward to today cause I finally get to try and walk! Im so excited! The nurce comes in along with Riley. They help me to sit up. I steady myself as they help me stand up. I take a step foward and another and another. They let go of me as I walk freely around the room. I smile.
'James! You did it!' Riley squeels.
The nurce smiles and starts to speak.
'I have some good news. Now that you are able to walk...you are free to leave today!'
I smile.
Finally! I can leave!
Riley hugs me.
'You can leave!' she squeals.
I smile at her.
The nurce leaves.
Piper walks in.
'James! Your walking!'
'And it gets better. I can leave today!'
'Oh my god! Wait till I tell everyone!'
She runs out of the room.
I turn to Riley.
'I knew you could do it. I just knew it' she says proudly.
I place my hand on her cheek.
'I love you so much'
'I love you too'
She leans in to kiss me. I smile at her.
Some of A trupe walk in. I put my hands in my pockets and prepare myself for all the questions and fussy girls.
'James! Are you okay! Oh my god! You can walk again! You should sits down! Do you need anything? Ill help pack your stuff! Sit down!' they all say together. Well mostly the girls.
I roll my eyes.
'Guyes!'
They go silent.
'Im fine! Dont even worry about it!'
Piper runs up to me and wraps her arms tightly around me.
'Oh James. Im so glad your okay. I thought Id never see you again' she says into my shirt.
I kneel down in front of her.
'Pipes. Im not going anywhere for a long time. Im always going to be here'
A tear rolls down her cheek.
'Hey. Dont cry. Its okay. Im alright again. I need you to listen to me very carefully okay?' I say softly. She nods.
'What ever happens, Im always going to be here. Im always going to look out for you and be there for you. And for everyone else. Its going to take a long time for someone to get rid of me. The only way that Ill be dieing is of old age. So your going to be stuck with me for another few years'
She lets out a small giggle.
'I love you James'
'I love you too Pipes'
I hug her.
'Now. How about you take everyone to the restuant down the road, and we can get something nice. Its on me as a treat'
'Really?'
'Yeah'
'Your the best. Lets go guyes!'
She runs out of the room followed by everyone else.
Riley smiles at me.
'Its a real shame you know'
'What?'
'That Im going to have to wait till your old before you die. I had a speech and everything made out for your funneral'
'Hey! Your mean!'
She giggles and runs off. I run after her. I chace her out of the hospital and onto the streets. I wrap my arms around her. She giggles.
'Your so mean!'
She looks at me.
'Oh Im sorry. Did I hurt your feelings?'
I smile at her.
'Maby'
'Would a kiss help'
'Oooo. Let me see. Yes!'
She leans in and kisses me.
'Better?'
'Definaltly'
We make our way back into the hispital to check out. Once the papers were signed and I had all my things together, we made our way to the resturant to meet the others.
