Leading to a heartbreak

James POV:
Ive just finished rehersal at lost and found and Im going to meet Riley in the park.
'Hey Riles'
''Hey!' she smiles.
'I have good news'
'Okay'
'We have the date for the wedding!'
'Seriously!'
I nod.
'When?'
'July 17th'
'Awsome! Im so excited!'
'Me too'
'Have you sorted out that whole thing about the best man yet?'
'Nope'
She laughs.
John comes over to us. And he looks sad. He seemed fine earlier.
'Yo. Whats up man'
He looks at me.
I turn to Riley.
'Can you give us a minute?'
'Sure'
She goes over and sits on the bench.
'Whats up?'
'Michelle just broke up with me'
'Wait. What?'
'I left studio and met up with her. She told me she likes someone else. She said its over between us'
'Who does she like?'
'Hunter'
'Hunter! She likes Hunter!'
'Yeah man. I dont know what to do'
'Okay leave it to me. Ill see if I can get through to her'
He nods.
'Thanks man'
He walks off.
I turn around and see Riley talking to Amanda. I go over to them.
'Hey James!'
'Yo. I need to talk to you' I say to Riley.
'About what'
'Come on'
I grab her arm and pull her away from Amanda.
'Its Michelle'
'What about her?'
'She just broke up with John'
'What! Why?'
'She like someone else. And you wont believe who it is'
'Who?'
'Hunter'
'Hunter!'
'Yeah. I need you to talk to her about it'
'Why me?'
'Because we went through this excat situation! If anyone can talk to her and get through to her its you'
'But she hasnt excatly kissed him. Right?'
'I dont know. Maby. Please Riley! Just do this. You and I both know the heart break they are going to go through. And we cant have that!'
'Okay! Ill talk to her. But I cant guarantee anything'
'Thank you'
I hug her.
I see Michelle walking towards us.
'Now is your chance'
'Okay'
She goes over to her. I hope this works.
Rileys POV:
'We need to talk!'
'About what?'
'John. Hunter.'
She sighs.
'How did you hear about it?'
'It doesnt matter. Look, your about to set yourself up for a heart break. And you cant do that. Your in the excat same situtation that I was in two years ago'
'How is this the same!'
'Its clearly the same! Look at you. Youve come along and broken Johns heart thinking that you want to be with Hunter. You dont. You want to be with John. Please dont make the same mistake I did. Because if you do...you will never forgive yourself for it. That Im sure off. I nearly lost James for good when I broke up with him. Dont do this Michelle. Not only will you break his heart...but you could loose your best friend'
She looks at me.
'Just think about it'
I walk off and go over to James and Amanda.
'Hey. Am...can we go now?' I ask him.
'Yeah sure. Ill see you later Amanda'
We leave.
'How was it?'
'Im not too sure. I dont know what shes going to do. But Ive said what I needed to say and thats it. Its up to her now'
He nods and puts an arm around me.
I just hope Ive done enough to get through to her.
