Mother always knows

Rileys POV:
I hear a muffled sound causing me to wake up. I look over and see that Deboradh is starting to wake up. I shake James.
'James! James! Wake up!'
'What! Whats wrong?'
'Look!'
He looks over and sees Deboradh.
'Oh my god mom!'
I get up off his lap as he goes over to her. He holds her hand.
'J-James?'
'Its okay mom. Im here. Im so glad your okay'
'W-wheres Kevin?'
'He went home with Piper. Shes allowed to stay with us for a while till your better. They will be here soon'
'And Riley?'
'Im here' I say walking over to her.
'Oh Riley. My beautiful girl. Ive missed your beautiful face'
I smile.
'How are you deer?'
'Im good. How are you feeling?'
'Im fine. Just weak'
I nod. Before I know whats happening, I feel wet tears falling down my face.
'Riley deer. Please dont cry. Everything is going to be fine' she tells me.
'Its just...I dont want anything bad to happen to you' I say between sobs.
'Hey its okay baby' James says as I burry my head in his chest.
'How about you go and get a coffe or something? Ill catch up with you later' he says.
I nod.
'Okay' I say wiping away the tears.
He rests his forehead against mine.
I get up and leave.
Im glad that shes awake, but Im worried about what will happen to her after this.
James POV:
I watch Riley leave and sigh.
'You okay son?'
'Its just...this isnt fair on her. This is happening too much'
'What do you mean?'
'Shes seen one two many people that she cares about nearly die infront of her. First me. Twice. And now you. She doesnt deserve this. No one does'
'James deer. This is how life is. Your born, you live and you die'
I nod.
'Yeah I know'
'James I...I know what it was you wanted to talk to me about the other day'
'What?'
'When you came over. You wanted to tell me the same thing that your brother did two years ago. You wanted to tell me that its time for me to let you go'
I sigh.
'Yeah. Thats what I wanted to tell you'
'And you didnt because you didnt want to hurt me'
I nod.
'But how did you know?'
'Im your mother. I know when its time to let my children go. Besides, the excat same thing happened with your brother. He ran off before he could tell me'
'Im sorry mom. I just didnt want to upset you'
'Its okay baby. I understand'
She smiles at me.
'I always knew that you and Riley would be together. And I knew from the very first day that I met that girl that there was something very special about her. And do you know what I said to myself? I said that you and Riley would have the best future together. I knew that you would be perfect for eachother'
I smile.
'To be honest...I was sure that I saw the end for us when we broke up that time' I tell her.
'We all make mistakes James. But we also all learn from them. I believe that it just brought you closer together'
I nod.
'Yeah. It definatly did'
'If you dont mind deer...Id like to get some sleep'
'Sure. Ill see you later'
'Okay'
'I love you mom'
'I love you too James'
I kiss her head and leave.
I hope she'll be okay.
Because I need her now more than ever.
