Awake and suspicion

Rileys POV:
I yawn as Piper hands me a coffe. I havent slept properly in two full days. We are in the café with all of A troupe having breakfast. I booked them accomadition in a B and B right next to the hospital. I booked myself a room too incase I want it. Right now Im sleeping on the chair in James room. I really dont want to leave his side. We all decided to have breakfast in the café in the hospital this morning. We were given a free breakfast since we are well known for winning internationals. Im really greatfull for that, cause if I had to pay for everyones breakfast, I would be gone broke by the end of it.Piper, Michelle and Amanda sit next to me.
'You should get some proper rest Riley. You havent slept in two days' Amanda says concerned.
'Shes right. You could suffer from exaustion' Michelle says.
'Im fine'
'Riley. What if James woke up suddenly? Do you really want him to see you like this? He would want you to get some proper sleep' Piper says sternly.
'Im okay!' I say standing up.
'Ill be with James if you need me' I say walking away.
Right now I just want to be alone with him. I need to talk to him. I walk into the room and see a nurce in there.
'How is he?' I ask.
'Hes stable. Since I last checked him, hes improved dramaticly'
'Really?'
'Really' she smiles.
'Thank you'
'Your welcome. Call me if you need anything'
I smile and she leaves the room. Im so happy to hear hes getting better. I sit down and take his hand.
'James? Its me. I just want to say that I miss you. I miss everything about you. I miss your voice, your smile, your sparkling eyes. I miss hugging you and kissing you. I miss you telling me that everytjing will be fine. I miss you telling me not to worry about it. James, your the only one that Ill ever love and I want no one but you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you and to have a family with you. I want to show you everyday how much I love you and how much you mean to me. I want to grow old with you. Because I love you. Please come back to me'
I lean in and kiss his lips as the mask has now been taken of him. They are so dry. I pull away and as I do I feel something squeeze my hand. I look down at it. My eyes widen. I swore I just saw his hand move.
'Do it again James. Come on baby. You can do it. I know you can. I believe in you'
It happens again. I smile. Suddenly his eyes start to slowely open. I quickly run out and see the girls walking towards me.
'Guyes! Hes waking up! Go and get a docter! Quick!' I say trying to hold in my excitment.
They quickly run off to get one. I go back over to James and hold his hand again.
'Hey. I knew you could do it' I say softly to him smiling.
A doctor quickly comes in. I leave the room. Everyone is standing around wondering whats going on. I jump up and down happily.
'Hes awake!' I squeel.
They all smile.
The doctor comes back out smiling.
'You may see him now. But only a few at a time. And be quiet'
We nod as he walks off. I go in and sit bedide him. He weakly smiles.
'James'
'Hey Riley' he says. His voice is a bit hoarce from not been able to talk.
'How are you feeling?' I ask.
'Soar but glad to see you'
I smile.
'I...I heard everything that you said to me. Is it all really true?'
I smile. Im so glad that he was able to hear me.
'Yes. Every word'
He smiles.
'Good'
I lean in and kiss him.
'I missed that'
'I missed it too'
We look at eachother.
'Do you know how I really woke up?'
'No. How?'
'It was because...'
The door opens and Piper, Michelle and Amanda walk in.
'James!' Piper smiles running over to him. She hugs him.
'Piper honey. Be careful'
'Sorry'
'Naa. Its cool. I dont mind the person I live to embarass hugging me'
'See what I mean! Lives to do that!' she says throwing her hands in the air.
We laugh.
'Hey James' Amanda and Michelle both say hugging him.
'Hey girls'
They smile.
'How is everyone else?'
'Theie fine. They are waiting outside the door, but I think some of them fell alseep after we were told you woke up. Probally just out of Relief that they dont have to be worring about Riley not getting much sleep' Amanda says.
'Whats this about you not sleeping?' he asks turning to me.
'Well...I...um...I mightnt have slept proparly because I was staying with you' I say with my head down.
'Yeah. She slept in that chair there' Michelle says pointing to it.
'Riley Riley Riley. You are a bold girl. Now let me see. What punishment should I give you for that?' he says.
'How about none?'
'Riley you know I love you but you must be punished'
'Well how?'
He quickly reaches out and grabs my waist and pulls me onto the bed next to him.
'By staying here on this bed till Im discharged'
I groan.
'But Jaaaames! Its uncomfortable!'
'Well maby you should have thought about that before you decided to not sleep properly!'
'But I was just caring for you! You would have done it for me!'
He looks at me.
'Damn it Ri! Why do you have to be so god damn cute!'
I smile.
'Dunno'
He smiles and lets me go.
Everyone takes their turn to come in to see James. They then decide to go to the B and B for some rest. I stay with James.
'You want to watch a movie?' he asks.
'Sure'
I sit next to him on the bed as I snuggle into his chest to watch it.
Im so glad that hes finally awake.
James POV:
Half way through the movie Riley falls asleep. When I have finished watching it, I put the news on.
'Breaking news! There is a chace by the police for what is to be believed to be the driver of the truck that collided with The Next Step bus on their way to Regionals. The driver has been spotted and is currently been searched for by police'
I shake Riley.
'Hey Riley. Look'
'What? What is it'
She looks at it.
'Word has just come through that James who has been in a-coma for nearly three days has woken up and is on a speedy recovoery. We will update you on more of this again soon'
Riley looks at me.
'So the crash was deliberate?' I ask.
'I guess'
'Who would want to do that?'
She looks ay me.
'You dont think...'
'Riley no. Hes all the ways over in Switzerland'
'But think about it. He wanted to date me and when he did, I broke up with him. He then claims that he left to get away from it. But what if he never left at all? What if he just left the studio but not the country? He could have stayed here to get back at me for what I did'
'But all of A troupe were on that bus'
'I know. But look at them. They are all fine. They only have a few cuts and bruises and Im fine too. But your the only one that ended up like this. The truck was clearly put in a way that when it crashed, it would only affect you the most, and everyone else would be fine'
It makes sence what shes saying. But why now? Why not before or after Regionals?
'But why didnt he do it before Regionals or after it?'
'Because you would have been able to stop him from doing something. But on the bus, you couldnt stop him. And it was totally unexpected. I knew that something was going to happen. I just had that feeling'
'Its okay. Its done now and we just have to get through it. But if he did do it, how are we going to prove it?'
'I dont know. But hes the only one that could be responsible'
I nod.
If it was Alfie, then we have to get him before he hurts anyone else.
