Day off

James POV:
We are all hanging around in Miss Kates suite as we dont have any competition today. Its the only room that we are all allowed to be in together.
'What do you guyes wanna do today?' Noah asks.
'Watch tv?'
They put on the tv.
'Put on the football game' Henry says.
'But we wanna watch the tallent show!' Sloane says.
'But this is a once in a life time game!'
'And this is a once in a life time tallent show!'
They all start to agrue over who should watch what.
'Enough!' Kate yells.
Everyone goes quiet.
'Its a lovely day outside and we are not going to be sitting inside watching tv! Get your things we're going out for the day!'
'But Miss Kate! None of us want to!'
'Im sorry to inturrupt but I kind of want to go out' I tell them.
'Yeah me too' Riley says.
'See! Now come on!'
They all start giving out that we said it.
'Its your fault we have to leave!'
'Why couldnt you let us stay!'
Me and Riley just smile at them.
'Tennagers' I laugh.
'You were like that one you know!' she smiles.
'So?'
We laugh as we leave the hotel with them still arguing.
We arrive at the park. We sit down on the bench and watch them hanging around talking.
'So you think we can win the rest of this competition?' Riley asks.
I nod.
'I think we'll do great'
She smiles.
'I cant wait till this is over' she says.
'Why?'
'Because I feel that our time at the next step in over. We've danced there and worked there. Its time to move on and let someone else take our spot'
I nod.
Shes right. Its time to move on. We've had our time and its someone elses go.
'Who do you think will take over?' I ask.
She looks at everyone.
'What about Michelle and Amanda?'
'You think they would be able to handle it?'
'Yeah. I mean when all that drama happend between us they srepped up and managed it while I was gone. I dont see why they wouldnt be able to do it'
I smile.
'If your sure?'
She nods.
'Okay then'
She holds my hand.
'And at least then there wont be so much pressure on us and we can focus on that family you were talking about'
I smile at her.
'God I love you Ri'
'I love you too'
I lean in and kiss her.
'Guyes! Look!'
We look over and see the Elite team walking over to us. We stand up. A troupe comes over to us.
'What are you doing here?' Richelle asks.
'Nice to see you too' Rose says.
'Ahh. Kate! How nice to see you again!' a man who Im guessing is Lucien says.
'What do you want Lucien?' Kate asks.
'I just came to say good luck tomorrow! Hopefully this time youll win. We dont want a repeat of last time now do we?' he says looking at Riley. She puts her head down.
How dare he bring that up! Its none of his business!
'Okay you keep your mouth shut! You have know idea what was happening then so stay out of it!' I say to him.
'How was that injury by the way? No bones broken?' he says to me.
My blood starts to boil. Who does he think he is showing up like this and reminding us of stuff we dont want to remember!
'You know nothing about anything to do with my life. What makes you think you need to know now?'
'Because maby your girl there cant give you a good enough one'
'Whats that suppose to mean!'
'James please!' Kate says standing between us. I clench my fist. Riley holds my hand.
'You need to leave. And I never want to see your face near me or any of my friends again' I say angrly.
'Fine. Im going'
They walk away.
'Oh yeah. Shes one pretty lady you got there' he says.
I look at everyone and walk off.
Rileys POV:
I feel really bad for James right now. He doesnt deserve this. I watch him walk off. Kate comes over to me.
'Just leave him for a bit'
'I cant. He needs me'
I walk over to him and sit on the bench next to him. We sit in silence.
'You okay?'
'Yep'
I sigh.
'Stupid question'
He doesnt say anything. I hold his hand.
'Dont listen to him. He just thinks his studio is better'
'Maby they are'
'No they arent. And you know that. We were internationals winners James!'
'We were. We arent now. And that was three years ago'
'Still. They havent even made it past nationals once'
He looks at me.
'When he said you cant give me a good enough life...thats not true. Youve given me the best life I could have and I wouldnt change that for anyone'
I smile.
'Thats sweet'
He smiles.
'Thanks for sticking up for me back there when he brought up that thing' I tell him.
'Its what I do. And I hate seeing someone hurt you like that. I know it was a long time ago...but theres nothing worse than someone bringing back thoes memories. And as long as I live...Ill make sure no one does anything to hurt you'
I smile at him.
'Your are the most caring and romantic guy that I have ever met!'
'Is that a good or bad thing?'
'Its a good thing'
He smiles and leans in and kisses me.
We see everyone running over to us.
'Hey guyes' I smile.
'Can we go back to the hotel now?'
'Did you ask Kate?'
'Yeah. She said no. So we came to ask you instead'
I look over at her who just smiles and shrugs her shoulders.
'Okay fine'
They smile at us.
'Grab your stuff. Last one back has to pay for dinner tonight!'
They run back and grab their things.
'You can pay for dinner! Im not!' James says running off with them.
'No Im not! Come back! Wait for me!' I shout after him. We all run past Kate.
'Kates paying for dinner!'
She looks at us confused and then her eyes widden. She stands up.
'Im never going anywhere with you lot again!'
We laugh and rush back to the hotel.
Today has been great. Outside of the whole Elite stuff...I wouldnt mind doing it again!
