Qualifier disaster

James POV:
Its the day of the qualifers and Im so excited. Me and Riley went along with Kate, Noah, Piper and Richelle to see the performance. I just hope they can win this.
'Allright guyes. We're seconds away from going on that stage. You have to give it all you got cause its now or never. If we loose we dont go to regionals at all. So get out there and dance your hardest! Lets do this! On three. One. Two. Three!'
'The next step!' we cheere.
They go on stage to start the dance. This better go well.

Suddenly Noah messes up the big lifts and Im shoked. This isnt like him. Hes way better than this. They come off the stage.
'What was that! What just happened there!' I ask annoyed.
'I dont know'
'Man seriously! Your a much better dancer than this! Thats why we put on the trio! How could you mess up!'
'James. Calm down' Riley says.
I look at her.
'Noah what happened?' she asks him.
'I dont know. I just couldnt get the lift right and it just got all messed up and...'
'Okay okay. Look we tried. There are still two more qualifers that we can do instead. No matter what, we are getting to regionals. Come on. Lets go' Kate says leading us out.
I cant belive we just lost. How did this happen!
Rileys POV:
I sigh as we walk into the studio to a waiting group of A troupers.
'How did it go? Did you win?' they ask.
I shake my head.
'No. We lost'
'What! How?'
'Noah messed up the big lift costing us the full thing' James says.
I can tell hes upset. Hes worked so hard for this and has put in so much effort with the team to get it perfect and then this happens. Its not right.
They sigh.
'Guyes! Look. Noah messed up. Big deal! It happens to everyone! We either win or loose. But this is not stopping us. There are two more qualifiers and we are going to win it. We are makeing it to regionals no matter what. We've worked too hard not to get there!' Richelle says.
I knew she would be the perfect dance captain. She always knows how to cheer up the team.
They all cheer.
'Allright guyes. Its been a long day. How about you head home. Well done' Kate smiles.
They get up. I look around.
'Wheres Sloane?'
'Juice bar I think'
I go down to the juice bar and see her there. I really want to tell her that its not her fault what happened.
'Hey Sloane'
She stands up.
'I...um...didnt think youd be here. Ill leave'
'No stay. Please'
She sits down.
'I heard about the loss at the qualifers' she says.
I nod.
'Im sorry'
'No its fine. It happens'
'Look Riley. What I said the other day...'
'Dont sweat it. I just want to tell you its not your fault. We say things when we are angry, and believe me when I say this because its happened to me allot'
'When? Why?'
'When...um...me and James broke up two years ago, I went over to England with my family for the week to see them. I wanted to try and get him back but he was pretty stuborn over it. We got in this huge fight and said things that we would never dream of saying to eachother'
'Like what?'
'Like...he said to me that I was a mistake and wish he never met me. And I said to him that I wish he was dead'
'Wow. Thats bad'
'I know. I just curled up and cried in my sisters arms for ages. We eventually appoligesed and took it all back. I guess what Im trying to say is that everyone gets angry and takes things out on the other person. We say things that you would never say to anyone and it makes you feel horrible for saying it'
She nods.
'I never meant it. Any of it'
'I know you didnt. And thats why I forgive you. You made a mistake and I get it. So how about we put the whole thing behind us and pretend it never happened'
She smiles.
'Id like that'
'Me too'
'Sorry to but in but it would be great if you bought three drinks. Thanks babe. Your a doll' James says standing behind us.
I look at Sloane.
'And you wonder why I said all thoes things to him that time!'
She laughs.
'What? What did you say?'
'Dont even worry about it!'
I go off to get the drinks.
I hope things between me and Sloane will be better now.
James POV:
I sit next to Sloane.
'So...am...what is it excatly that Riley told you she said to me?'
'Lets just say its related to that fight ye had in Londan two years ago'
Oh god. Of course she had to bring that up.
'Riley!'
'Yes!' she says with a smile.
'Whats this about that incident in London? I thought we would never speak of that again!'
She laughs.
God I love her so much.
Im so lucky to have her in my life.
