Love is being stupid together. – Paul Valery

Miguel stirred. He was awakened by the penetration of brightness slowly engulfing the whole room he spent the night in. He lazily opened his eyes, adjusting with the sudden invasion.

He stretched his limbs out and carefully got out of the queen-sized bed. He went near the window and brushed the curtains aside noting the morning dew and sunrays starting to cover several buildings in sight. It was already morning.

He freely roamed his eyes on the totality of the medium-sized room then smiled. It was a pink room, from wall paint to most of the furniture. Her bed linens pink too.

He walked towards the bathroom, another pink-inspired space and took a quick shower. Mabuti na lang nabigyan na siya kagabi ni Alex ng mga gamit. Towel, new toothbrush, white shirt at white cotton pants.

Smirk instantly formed on his lips as he remembered how shocked she was when he told her he’d be spending the night there. Her change of reactions priceless, he couldn’t help but tease her further.

He stepped out of the bathroom after showering and donned the all white outfit pairing it with black rubber slippers Alex too had provided. He was amazed why they seemed to have supplies of men paraphernalia but rebuffed the idea of asking her.

He took a quick survey of himself as he passed by the life-sized mirror near the door and mentally noted not to wear all white again, he looked ridiculous!

Smell of fried bacon and egg invaded his olfactory sense as soon as he opened the door. Someone seemed to be cooking breakfast. A housekeeper? Clearly, it couldn’t be Alex.

Last night, he remembered her saying she won’t be waking up early just to cook breakfast and if he wanted to go home, he could just go. He didn’t have to disturb her.

His feet followed the scent of the food and it brought him to the kitchen of course. Napangiti na lang ito at napalean sa pintuan nang nakita kung sino ang nagluluto.

Miguel couldn’t stop himself from studying Alex as the latter stood in front of the oven busily flipping one egg from the frying pan. She was plainly wearing a loose pink shirt paired with denim shorts. She wore slippers too. Her hair messily tied to a bun with a few strands freely falling on the sides.

Then suddenly she turned around.

Damn! How much cuter could this lady get?  She was wearing a f*ckin’ pair of glasses. It made her look too adorable and innocent at the same time.  He just stood there, frozen again and speechless.
