H-O-P-E
A word that's uttered by many
A state of mind that everyone wants
But a feeling that has long been lost.HATRED
For oneself or those around thy
Staining our dreams and our minds
Telling us that we can't before we try.OBLIVIOUS
Of those who have been broken
Of the ones that may need saving
Especially if it's yourself.PUNISHMENT
For not trying and having given up
For keeping silent or speaking too much
'Cause these days problems are found in everything.EXPOSED
By those we thought close
By the society that was supposed to grow close
But left in the cold to wonder what you chose.INVISIBLE
When we want to be noticed
When we finally decide to have some courage
Only to realise that we're not existent.SUPERIORITY
Is what some are blessed with
While others feel small and inferior
When they're actually among the most powerful.LIES
Are what we're told day by day
Just so others can obtain hand-held gains
They're worth more than lives these days.OVERPOWERING
The wrongs of crowds with the courage
To continue to seek wrong-doings
And make the bleak world even darker.SUBMERGED
In fears and discouragement
In the evil that preys and consumes
The best yet unsuspecting souls.TORTURED
With what our shattered dreams
That's set on display but we can't reach
We lost the strength we needed to push on.H-O-P-E
I was once overflowed with it
Was once sharing and giving it
But now... hope is lost.~
Honestly, I don't even think I was feeling hopeless when I wrote this one. I just wrote it.
Do you have any hope remaining in a world that sometimes seemed determined to drain it? Do you feel more hope than you give or give more than you feel?
Until next time,
Ade Alethra
