I don't think it was coincidence
That I had met you
I don't think it was luck
That you came when times were blueIt was unexpected
It was very sudden
But even though I hadn't been searching
I knew what I had foundThe universe has moved us
And brought us together
And we grew to share a love
That we possessed only for each otherWe're like the clear sky
On a dark midnight
With small attributes combined
Together we magnificently shineI admit that I'm scared
Every time you see me
I feel like you'll disappear
Every time you embrace meThough destiny gets jealous
And tries to separate us
I've no doubt
That we'll be together once moreThe story of our meeting
That chance of our meeting
The possibility of it all
Was everything below zeroSo it's an eternal blessing
That we gave each other miracles
You never stopped loving me
As I never could with youThe times are brighter
Now that you are here
It's no longer the black hole
That sucked happiness awayNow I can let go
Now I am free
You helped me release the burden
Of my negative energyI'm your Calico Cat
You're my angel, my world
You saved me from destruction
When my world had collapsedYou're my serendipity
Now I am yours
The world is much different
From yesterday to now~
Relationships really are a special thing; friendly and romantic.
We never really choose what kinds of people drop into our lives though we do sometimes try to sift out some and leave some others behind. Not everyone is meant to stay in your life and not everyone is there for a good reason. You know what they say: people enter our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
Sometimes the best relationships that we encounter are the ones we didn't expect whatsoever. Take me and my best friend for example. I remember when I first met her; we had ended up in the same class when we first entered high school which meant we were more or less going to see each other for the next five years.
My first interaction with her did not go very well and I'm telling you, I had already made it clear to myself that I would never become friends with her. I still don't know when or how it happened but we did become friends before the first term was even over and I'm probably closest to her than the others in my friend group.
There are many events that took place that could have ended with me not meeting a lot of the people that I know and know of today but everything fell into a rhythm that allowed me to meet and learn of people that have influenced, motivated and shaped me to who I am today; some a lot more unexpected than others. Also considering my personality, I guess it really is through serendipity that some happened at all.
Have you ever had an experience that was pure serendipity? An occasion, meeting- whatever it was, did it change you, strengthen you or help you grow in any way?
Until next time,
Ade Alethra
