Fire

They say don't play with fire
But I've always been fascinated

With its warmth and its wildness
And its destructive nature
That can keep us all at peace

.

You said I was asking for it
That I was making deals with the devil

You said I was stupid
You said I was delusional
Fire could not be tamed

.

When you see me staggering
You laugh at and mock me

You assume the worst
You say I'm insane, should've stayed in my lane
But I could care less what you say

.

The reality was quite different
I was doing just fine

But your life needed to be saved
From an uncontrollable fire
Different than the flame possessing mine

.

Though you were struggling now
You still refused to listen

And I'm sorry to say
But I'm highly amused
By the conflictions you're now facing

.

I'm not at all being mean
Nor am I being cruel

But if you won't let me help
Don't expect me
To stop laughing because of your snare

.

I could smoothen out your wrinkles
Set you back in order

But you first must accept
And get rid of the smoke
To reveal the burning passion

.

Set it all on fire
Don't be scared of the risk

Just turn the switch
And be set ablaze
By your creative motions

.

I'll continue to burn it up
I'm as crazy as that guy on the street

I'll play my games
And remain the same
It's my life anyway

.

I'm not saying it's perfect
I'm not saying I'm distressed

But I'll just flow through
And fan away the flames
Of the toxic ones that come my way

.

Don't be afraid to lose
You can march in my army

We'll hold our fist high
And scream through the night
Setting everything alight

Let's think of fire for a while. It doesn't necessarily have to be the actual element but it's fine if you think of that fire too; the way I'm going to explain it should still be able to be incorporated in its nature anyway.

What do you think of fire?

Fire is hot, bright, and it burns. Our souls can be our own flames but every flame has its differences. The activation, fuel, source; it doesn't have to be the same.

There's a fire in passion that can greatly fuel our own strengths and desires. There's also a fire from envy and greed that can fuel one's actions.

Though some are generally more harmful than others, it doesn't matter what can of fire we're talking about for they can all bring their dangers, especially when we don't know what to do with it.

In terms of the examples above, the fire in passion can become dangerous or even destructive if one doesn't know what to do with it. It can become even more so if it is restrained. These are best used if they are harnessed, accepted and controlled.

The fire in envy and greed can destroy one from within if it is allowed to grow and spiral our of control. It would probably be within the best interest to keep these flames low and, if possible, extinguish it altogether before it destroys you and/ or someone else.

Fire is can be both constructive and destructive. It may be your light to a brighter and better path or your downfall as you burn in pain and misfortune.

Know your flame. Know its power, its weakness and how to use it.

Until next time,
