It was backlash,
Whiplash
They said we'd never thrive. Now when we grab the mic
We rule the stage
You'd want to run and hide.I'm baepsae,
A joke?
I know I'm fairly new.But I've earned the crown
We rose above
Despite the hate from you.We shot high
We flew above
We may have started small. But now our crowds
On a larger scale
Ten times more than yours. You laughed at us
You mocked us
Because we were different. Now look at me
I'm damn happy
New city every night. There's nothing more
I have to say
This is our last farewell. When I drop the mic
Better think twice
Before crossing my path again.~
What can I really say about this one? Hmm...
Discouragement is one hell of a thing. People do it for various reasons: jealousy, hate or maybe they truly believe you won't make it so they're trying to stop you while you have the chance.
Other than passion, dreams and all those lovely stuff, the discouragement of others can sometimes be a great motivating factor to push forward. Why? Because, after you've accomplished all they said you couldn't, it'd be all too great to see their face afterwards. Too bad you won't be able to fully embrace how they feel too..
But oh well. Just give a smile and drop the mic. They'll recover soon enough from their initial shock.
Have you ever 'dropped the mic' on anyone? How did it feel? Has anyone ever discouraged you in an attempt to motivate you (because their secretly cheering and rooting for you but they don't want you to know that until after you succeed or until you figure it out yourself)?
Until next time,
