To love or to be loved
That is the question
The difference I couldn't once tellBut after heartbreak and denial
After sadness and tragedy
The difference had never been more clearYou had stuck with me
Through thick and thin
Even when I thought I was undeservingYou stayed here with me
Mysterious as the moon
Yet all the more beautifulYou were strong and independent
You really put me to shame
And realise how weak I wasAfter one fight
I'm already cracking
But you're still going strongI'm glad that you haven't
Abandoned me
Like so many have beforeWe were both a bit shaken
Both a bit bruised
But I still loved so so muchI thought it was my duty
To protect the beauty
That I didn't want to loseBut I was losing the battle
And you ended up being the one
To stand in front of meAnd maybe you're the only one
And you have to be the one
To save me from this darknessBecause even though I'm consumed
My heart calls out to you
The only light I can seeWe stuck with each other
Through thick and thin
And I wouldn't want it any other wayI didn't let you fall
And I hope you don't
Forget to grab my hand and pull me up~
To love or to be loved...
Ideally, you have both. However, that isn't always the case and it can take a while before we are able to find both.
Do you think a broken soul can give or receive love? Do you share a love with anyone that seems so much stronger than you? Do you think that, with the right person and right kind of love, love can be healing or is it a nuisance that could never end well?
Is there anyone you want to save or do you feel like you're the one in need of saving?
Until next time,
Ade Alethra
