Close Friendships = Family Relationships

My family outside family
Consists of a group of six
That's not very far off
From being a full-blown circus.

We can be rather random
And insanely not-so-crazy
Don't be concerned if you notice us
We have a stable enough mentality.

Whether we're quiet as individuals
Or very social butterflies
Whenever we're all together
We're a childish group of sisters.

None of us are perfect
But we don't care too much (it doesn't matter)
We seem as different as night from day
But have similars in much more ways.

Embrace the 'weird' and the 'crazy'
The 'abnormal', 'strange' and 'totally absurd'
We don't know about your 'normal', but that's our normal
Even though we may question if it's so.

True friendships are ones where sorrow can be forgotten (even if temporary)
The ones that you truly won't forget
Lasting memories are made by just having fun
And another family is formed.

Ever heard the term 'pumpkin vine family'? People sometimes tend to accept people into their family even if there are no immediate or obvious ancestral connections. You don't need to be of the same blood or background to be considered family.

The group of friends and my entire form class in general that I spent my five secondary school years with is quite a bunch. We were quite close despite some of the ups and downs that may have been faced. We were quite different from the average, ordinary form class, even by crazy standards. I think it'll be pretty difficult to get another bunch that'll be anywhere close to how we were.

Is there anyone close to you that you consider part of your family?

Until next time,
