Rainbows are so colourful
And seem to bring such hopeThey possess such a merriment
And a promise that will holdRainbows are so child-like
And are so innocentThey possess an aura
That could leave one tranquil. When I think of rainbows,
I can't help but think of youAnd every time I think of you
It leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. You were definitely a rainbow
Colourful and bright and beautifulYou showed such an innocence
And possessed such an energyYour smile was so bright
And could put anyone at easeYour childishness and goofy tricks
Would always bring a smileThere was no one else so merry
No one who'd seem like hope. You wore your rainbow like a cloak
To hide what you truly wereAnd the saddest part about it all
Was that it actually workedThe innocence you wore
Shielded the most cunning deedsSo blinding was your light
I didn't realize how dark it would beYou really were a pro actor
Walking across the stagePlaying with hearts and giving a false
Of what you really were. You remind me of those characters
Who almost all loved at firstBefore later on realizing
It was the devil in angel's clothes. But that's not too far off
After all, he was an angelBut he fell from great heights
When his true intention seeped throughAnd so to will you
And your acid rainbows.~
I had written this one for a challenge on Action Based Growth Amino.
Some people and events aren't as great as they seem but unfortunately, we don't tend to realize this until quite some time has passed or until it's too late. It's not as simple as perspective or nor selective behaviour. It's just deception.
Have you ever met anyone who acts different than they seem? When did you realize their true intentions?
Until next time,
