It was a Saturday. It was a night out for both of them. Kate had a hunch on what other surprise Nate had. He sounded so ecstatic over the phone that she went along with it. He knew he was up to something wonderful. He even told her to wear something special and she did. Kate could never forget the look he gave her as if he was mesmerized and she felt pleased with her efforts. She wore an off shoulder dress in light peach that swirled around her figure showing off her curves in all the right places. She even pulled her hair back with gold clips and curled its edges. With a light touch of makeup and a hint of eye shadow it brought out the emerald color of her eyes. She felt she was beautiful that night.

Her guess was right it was Nate's jeep all in her new glory. It was painted red as shiny and beautiful. She looked so new polished and sleek. Even the body wash was good. Kate looked at it and felt proud of the way it looked just like the owner. Kate knew Nate loved his jeep. It was a customized one a cross between an SUV and a jalopy that gave it even more character.

Isn't she a beauty? Nate exclaimed. I just got it from the shop and I was awestruck and look how sleek red it is.

Kate was appreciative herself. It's a beauty Nate. It's even nicer than an SUV she added as she touched the well polished finish of the paint.

Can't have my Katie riding in an old dump. Haven't I told you how exceptionally beautiful you are tonight. giving her an admiring look with his dimples showing.

For the tenth time.she said smiling and Kate loved his adoring look.

Let's count to a hundred till later. he said still smiling.

Kate was breathtaking to Nate. She was so sexy tonight it took all his willpower to whisk her off to his apartment and elope. He knew something he can never do. But instead he kissed her lightly on the lips which took Kate by surprise.

What was that for? she asked making a face.

For appreciating my jeep and for being so irresistible tonight. The way Nate said it brought delight to Kate being heaped with compliments.

Kate looked so cute making a face at him her nose wrinkled that Nate couldn't help but kiss her on the nose. A habit she got used to. Even if Nate's jeep could not compare to elegant expensive cars but she treasured being there with Nate. They had a lot of memories in this reliable jeep of his one Kate would never forget.

The engine purred beautifully and Nate was thrilled. He had such simple pleasures Kate thought.

Even purrs like a kitten. he exclaimed. I might not have a BMW but for me this is as close to it that I can get. The transmission is even new. It costs a fortune but saved up for everything.

Kate laughed I can just imagine the countless sandwiches you've eaten all through lunch and the free brewed coffee just to saved up for all of it.

Nate chuckled his dimples showing. Am still labeled a cheapskate in the office but who cares when I have this beauty here and even the fair maiden sitting beside me. He was teasing her again.

Ha Ha Fair maiden you make me sound as if I'm in the middle ages. Kate made a face again.

Or would you rather have me rephrase it this awesome, sexy and irresistible woman sitting in my jeep. He emphasized his words looking at her tenderly.

Far far much better. Kate laughed and you better mean it.

Oh I take it back not a woman but a little girl.

He was teasing her again that's what he would always think of Kate. She would always be his little girl. She had that innocence that touched him and yet having that hard to get attitude that kept him on his toes.
