Six months later

Kate could only feel tremendous happiness inside her. Today was her wedding day. How wonderful it would be to be Mrs. Kate Porter and be with Nate for the rest of her life. It had been six months eversince Nate's birthday and it was only happiness she felt with him. He was forever giving always thinking of her needs first more than anything else. He always made her feel precious as if she was the most important person on this earth to him. Even the passion in their relationship sizzled. Never in her whole life had she felt more desired and womanly the way Nate made her feel. They had not seen each other for over a week part of wedding traditions but Kate missed Nate. How wonderful it felt to be as one and be together.
Kate surveyed herself in the mirror. She looked radiant. Her hair cascading in glorious curls framing her face. Her green eyes looked deep emerald accented by a smoked light green eyeshadow. Her lips with a tinge of pink and very light blush on her cheeks. She loved her wedding dress an off shoulder flowered laced taffeta that accented her figure completely with a flimsy long train. Nate had not seen it and she could just imagine how his reaction would be. She and her mother had it made by Mrs. Taylor, a friend of her mother's who specializes in wedding gowns. How she did wonders for Kate making her like a fairytale princess about to marry her prince. She smiled excitedly to herself just as she saw her mother. She too was elegantly dressed in a sabrina laced creme beaded ensemble. Still every bit a head turner in her early fifties.
Oh Kate you're so beautiful. I can't imagine you all so grown up and getting married already. But I'm just ecstatic it's Nate. That boy loves you so much and I know he will move heaven and earth to make you happy.
Yes mom. I feel so nervous my insides feel so knotted up. Just hoping everything would turn out right. So this is how it feels to be a bride. I couldn't even sleep last night feeling all excited. I bet Nate has the jitters too.
Her mom could only laugh. My God that boy is a wreck. I saw him a few days ago and he's got bugs in his eyes. He said he hasn't been sleeping well the past days. Too excited and for me to tell you that he misses you like crazy. Her mother said rolling her eyes in mischief.
Kate could only giggle as she and her mother exchanged a good laugh. Yes definitely like Nate. How much she loved him was beyond her. There were so many good things about him that she was truly blessed that they were fated to share their lifetime with each other.
I know you're going to have a happy life Kate. And remember with all my grand children to come she added. I just wished your dad had the chance to see you like this and in his arms walking his daughter down the aisle.
Kate also wished deep inside her that her father was there beside them. That he had gotten to meet Nate and see what a wonderful son in law he had.
She hugged her mother instead. Wherever Dad is I'm sure he'll be happy for me. He'll always be in our hearts mom.
They were prevented from further talk when Shelly her best friend arrived looking flushed and hyped up. She was in her butter yellow taffeta maid of honor dress.
She instead squealed in delight seeing her as she gushed out loud at how lovely she was.
You're beautiful Kate beyond words. That wedding dress makes you look like those fairy tale princess. I'm speechless looking at you. Wait till Nate sees you.
Kate had to smile. I don't know what I'm feeling right now. I feel so uptight. She admitted nervously.
Kate's mother could only smile at her daughter.
