Kate felt a slight case of nervousness. She was on a date with Ryan but it was not one of those ordinary dates that they had. Ryan was inviting her for dinner at his condominium unit. His very own pad. He had subtly mentioned bringing her a dozen times but she had always evaded him fully aware of what would happen between them there. But he was patient with her. Wanting her to agree on her own volition. She was a grown woman she could handle herself and if it was someone she wanted to be loved and cherished it would be Ryan by her side. But still deep inside she was filled with anxiety. She knew what would go on between them and some part of her was still undecided and unprepared. All to reminded of her limited experience with Nate from the mere stolen kisses they exchanged. She also feared that she might be a disappointment to Ryan. She knew he had probably made love to numerous girls in the past while she was still an innocent naïve girl. The other part of her also wasn't ready.She was overcome with so many fears but just looking at Ryan's gentle face made it all disappear.

Ryan looked at her with love in his eyes as he rubbed her shoulders with his free hand. You know I'm so happy you agreed. To tell you honestly it took a lot of convincing. He grinned.

I know she smiled back. I couldn't resist your charm this time. You had this puppy dog look that said Please please have mercy.

I was practically begging. He said laughing. And I don't mind just as long as you said yes.

She snuggled towards him as he pulled her to him.

And you know what makes me so happy. I think Dad is finally seeing the light. I've started to talk to him. Lay down my cards on the table. He looked at me for the very first time. Seeing that I meant my words. That I'm planning to leave our business and start on my own if he wouldn't listen.

If not for your push Kate I would still be wallowing in misery right now. With you by my side everything just seems to be so right.

He kissed her by the lips with gentleness and Kate was touched with his sweetness.

I love you so much Kate he murmured. Promise me you'd always be by my side?

His eyes were looking straight at her now. Those gentle eyes saying so much yet there was seriousness in his words.

I promise.she found herself saying and she touched his face tracing her fingers on the contourshis handsome face. I'm so happy too Ryan. I knew you just had to talk to him. Make him realize the mistakes he made. If he loves you he's going to change.

He nodded. I was so nervous I didn't know where to start but I knew I had to be firm this time and stood my ground. Show in his face what he was doing to me all these years.

But he was just silent Kate just listening to me. He allowed me to talk not saying a word. It was the first time he had done that. He gave me the full floor to bring out all that I felt. It was such a release after all these years. But I don't expect instant miracles Kate but I see how he is now and it's different. I feel I've finally won.

Oh Ryan you just don't know how happy I feel now that you were able to talk to him and I see that peace in you.

I've never felt this light in a long time Kate. He admitted. Thank you for being there for me for pushing me to talk to him. For never tiring of pushing.

Seeing you happy like this Ryan. I can't ask for anything more.

He kissed her fleetingly on the lips as he pulled her even closer.

All seems so right love when I'm with you. I also have a lot of surprises for you tonight.

Such as? She asked teasingly as she kissed his nose.
