Nate felt uptight as he drove to Harvard University to fetch Amanda Carter. This was the Saturday. The day he dreaded and plagued his dreams.

He had a lot of anxieties, first about having to see Kate for the first time with Ryan Montgomery. Richie Rich. There was a big pain in his heart that Kate had a boyfriend now. It was the first time he would see them as a couple while he should have been the one beside her, taking care of her. He pictured himself like a third wheel just looking at them at a distance while he carried on a façade of having a date. Cause that was how it truly was. A façade. He even had to use people cause he knew he had no feelings for Amanda. But the plan had to be made or else he might even lose Kate completely.

He just had to appear confident. Relax and just take it easy. He took extra pains in his appearance. He looked good he knew, in his dark navy blue suit and powder blue dress shirt with red striped tie. It was his best suit one that he used for important occasions. The suit flattered his built making him taller, emphasizing his lean solid frame. He even gelled up his hair looking neat and polished like a true Harvard man. He didn't want Ryan to belittle him or even think in any way that he was less than he is. No matter how rich he was.

Nate walked to Amanda's dorm feeling the cold rush of wind hit his face. The smell of lush grass and smell of flowers calmed Nate. Harvard was a sight to behold in the evenings. Cozy. Its street lamp lights gave an ambiance of an old English town. It was beautiful. The walk rejuvenated him as he located Amanda's dorm feeling much better.

She answered at the third knock. Nate wasn't prepared for a quite demure Amanda that opened the door. She was in a pale gold silk cow neck dress with a twisted braided rope belt that fitted her small waist. The dress was elegant but with the amount of sexiness combined showing the fullness of her breasts beneath the fabric and the pale gold complimented her tanned skin.

Nate liked the way she looked. Her deep brown eyes were radiant, and her face had a very natural glow with very minimal makeup. He could see she took great pains to please him which flattered him.

He felt shy almost and temporarily at a loss for words. He grinned boyishly instead.

You look really pretty he managed to say as he smiled again at her. Quite different too. As he gazed at her admiringly.

Her cheeks flushed she smiled back at him. Thanks. I'm glad you noticed. Quite a deviation from the old me right?

Nate gave her a dimpled smile. Right but with good results.

Amanda looked at Nate then, her gaze swept over him. She loved looking at him. He was extremely good looking tonight. The suit made him more manly and sophisticated to Amanda. Even his hair had a polished look that flattered his lean face. But what she loved about Nate was the gentleness in his eyes and his charming dimpled smile. She felt so lucky to be with him tonight. She had always dreamt of going out on a date with him. Now she had all her wishes come true.

You also look so good looking yourself. You'll make one good looking lawyer someday.

Just the lawyer part. He grinned giving her a wink as she laughed. She felt relax with Nate, there was a laid back down to earth nature about him which made Amanda like him even more.

They walked alongside one another as they reached the parking lot. Sometimes Nate wished he had a fancy car that he can show off to impress a girl. But he loved his reliable jeep, loved the memories of him and Kate enjoying their times there. It was also the only thing he could onlyafford given his small salary at the law firm. He found himself apologizing.
